I travel very frequently and this was definitely one of my favorite stays ever!! This place has 24/hr check-in available, which I appreciated very much. The property is secure, clean, and conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Very walkable location. Apartment style living with full kitchen and even washer and dryer. I highly recommend this location especially for small groups or families.

Loved the is stay. The 1 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The view was amazing. Also the Whole Foods market around the corner was terrific. We caught the train from the airport to the accommodation and it was easy. Would stay here again.

Location was great. The building and gym were really nice. The apartment had all the amenities needed for 3 women for a weekend trip. Unfortunately the apartment had an unpleasant smell that got stronger the longer we were there. At first it smelled a bit like cleaning products but later appeared as though the cleaning products may have been masking underlying issues or mildew. Our clothes and bags smelled like it upon returning home. Not sure I would stay again given the smell.

This was our second stay at the Kasa in this location, and we were once again very pleased. The elevator system has improved significantly since our first visit, which made a noticeable difference in convenience. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the appliances we needed to enjoy our 15-day stay. The location is fantastic, just steps from Whole Foods and surrounded by a great selection of restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The Kasa staff were helpful, kind, and quick to respond whenever we had questions. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning again in the future.

Perfect location! Short walk to the magnificent mile. Amazing corner condo. Had everything we needed and amazing views! Loved the 2 bedroom space we had plenty of room for the 4 of us. We had a couple issues with the tub drain and dryer not working but they came right away and fixed the issues. Great customer service! Would definitely stay here again!

Great safe location for my family to explore Chicago. Steps from Whole Foods/amazon grocery, 5 minute walk to red line train, 5-8 minute walk to buses. We walked or took train/subway (the ‘L’) or bus almost everywhere. Loved having 2 twin beds and a king bed. We also appreciated having access to the gym in the building.

Our Kasa was very clean. Very convenient to the "L" with access to the entire city. Loved loved having the washer and dryer along with full kitchen so we could enjoy a self-cooked meal when wanted. One minor minor issue was that there were smokers elsewhere in the building (it does have private residences), so when the wind was blowing strongly the smell came in. Other than that the stay was great!

Love, love, love! My husband and I will definitely stay here again, the next time we are in Chicago. The room appeared more spacious than the photos, the check in and check out process was simple and the customer service was great. Kasa is in the perfect location and the area was surprisingly quiet during our stay.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this Kasa Rental and my family and I love the apartment. The location is perfect and the view from the apartment is breathtaking. It’s always very clean and they provide more than enough towels, linens and pillows. I have a 6 & 4 year old and they love all the space the apartment offers. Our location is located near his stops and the train. This is definitely our place to stay when we visit Chicago.
Big, beautiful studio.
Very well fitted kitchen.
Washing/Drying machine in room.
Nice view from balcony.
Good location for touring.
Very good value for money.

Clean spacious and nicely furnished apartment. Great location, fantastic city view.
A fully functioning kitchen everything we needed was available. Bonus having a Whole Foods a few minutes walk.

Staff were very easy to communicate with prior to and during our stay.
We had a leak in the kitchen which was reported in the evening and rectified the following morning.
Virtual remote check-in and check out was very simple.

Held our bags after check out as we had an evening flight.

The apartment was so comfortable, it truly felt like home. We’ll gladly book with Kasa again for future trips and destinations. Thank you for making our stay wonderful!

Wonderful stay at Kasa Magnificent Mile. One bedroom was perfect for our family of 3. Well equipped unit for a week long stay over Christmas. Building and unit were in optimal conditions and had fantastic city view. Great location, safe and convenient, walking distance to everything, restaurants, bars, groceries, shopping and city attractions. Opted to park our vehicle at city lot about .5 miles away, great in/out rate. Overall highly recommend Kasa and will stay here again.

Fabulous location, close to restaurants, bars, and shopping!
Extremely responsive staff. Sofa bed not comfortable, but they did bring up an extra topper for it. Great to have a washer and dryer in the unit. Were able to access exercise room as advertised, but not the residents pool or coffee bar. Again we weren’t told we could so that was as advertised. Very easy to communicate with staff, and check in and out a breeze. We asked for an early check in which was granted, and they held our bags for us after check out before our flight. Overall fantastic and lots of space.

It’s all in the name—and the Waldorf does not disappoint. From the moment I approached the revolving doors, I was greeted by their signature scent, instantly setting the tone for what was to come. The lobby, like the rest of the hotel, radiates warmth and elegance, with a French-inspired mood that feels both inviting and refined.

I’ll admit, the reception desk by the entrance surprised me at first, but learning about the various VIP entrances quickly made it clear—every detail here is intentional, and it works. Truly, there’s no such thing as a “bad” room. The king rooms are as charming and comfortable as the penthouse suites; the only difference is space, not character.

Naturally, the spa exceeds expectations, complete with an on-call Pilates attendant. Add in a lap pool and jacuzzi, and your wellness routine feels nothing short of indulgent.

I love sharing the highlights so you know what to expect, but here’s the truth: the Waldorf holds a special surprise you’ll only discover during your stay. Some luxuries are best left to experience.

Happy travels. ✨

My daughter celebrated her birthday there for the weekend. The staff was amazing, providing lovely little touches acknowledging her special day throughout our visit. Everyone from Reception to Valet were friendly and delivered awesome care while were there.

Additionally, we hosted a dinner party in the Brass Tack Lounge for close family and friends, it was lovely and intimate. Robert, our server, was very helpful in selecting a substitute champagne and took great care of the birthday celebratory gathering.

A wonderful weekend!

We had a fantastic stay here for 6 nights. Some of the highlights of the hotel are microwaves in the room, extra mini fridge upon request, balconies, free car rides (within 1mi) and great service. We came here for my wife's birthday and everyone in the family had a blast. They are also pet friendly for those traveling with pets. I would definitely recommend this hotel again and would definitely stay here again next time in Chicago. Oh and as a bonus, the Manchester united team was here during our stay so we got to hang out and chat with some of them (all were super nice).

Had a wonderful visit to the Waldorf Astoria Chicago for an anniversary celebration weekend. Prior to arrival, the concierge staff contacted me and inquired if we were celebrating any occasion. I informed we were celebrating our anniversary, and they made us feel very special. We were allowed early check-in and upgraded to a very nice corner balcony suite. We received a chilled bottle of champagne twice! -- and also the most delicious chocolate-covered strawberries. As Hilton Diamond, we were able to use the spa and pool facilities. Although we did not have enough time to use other services, it was very relaxing to use the steam room, whirlpool and pool and relax for an hour. The workout facilities are also well equipped, clean, and attended well with staff replacing towels and water bottles. The whole property and staff just exude pure Waldorf class. Definitely, seek out this property if you can. Can't wait to return!

Had an amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and elevated — exactly what you hope for in a luxury hotel. The staff was incredibly professional and welcoming, and most importantly, they honored their word on every detail, which speaks volumes about their integrity and service standards. The room, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were all exceptional. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. I’ll definitely be back.

This property checks all of the boxes! Moiz at the front desk was spectacular at check in! I was given a beautifully appointed corner room with a balcony, fireplace, and wonderful view. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer Aesop toiletries. They have some of the best in room dining I’ve ever experienced! They are kind, timely, and pay attention to detail. The valet service is stellar! The minute you drive in they are available to help! I stay here often and cannot wait until next time! Thank you for taking wonderful care of me!

The Waldorf Astoria Chicago is a luxury hotel located in the Gold Coast neighborhood, offering high-end accommodations and amenities in a quieter, more residential-feeling area of the city. The hotel occupies a stately, Parisian-inspired building with a private motor court, setting a tone of luxury and elegance from the outset.

The interiors reflect classic luxury with a modern edge—featuring neutral tones, marble finishes, high ceilings, and tailored decor throughout. Rooms and suites are spacious compared to typical city standards, many featuring fireplaces, soaking tubs, and private terraces. In room amenities include Nespresso machines, microwaves, bar-sink, minibar fridges, extra closet space and desk consoles. We were pleased to be upgraded to a Deluxe Corner Suite at a reduced price, which was a great deal for a whopping 1,000 sq foot room.

Service is polished and discreet, with staff focused on anticipating guest needs without being overbearing. Logan at Concierge was especially welcoming with arranging for items to be sent to our room ahead of our arrival, working through upgrade requests and giving us Waldorf Astoria teddies for our girls. This added a super special touch (reminiscent of a boutique hotel) and would highly recommend reaching out to her.

The Waldorf also has a house car (long wheelbase BMW 760) which will ferry you within a mile radius. Great for short hops to stores or to get to the river (tips are appreciated).

The overall atmosphere of the Waldorf is quiet and refined, more suited to travelers seeking privacy, comfort, and understated luxury rather than a bustling, scene-driven environment.

The Waldorf Astoria Chicago appeals to both leisure and business travelers looking for a premium experience in a walkable but serene part of the city. Definitely worth of the Waldorf name!

Everyone who works here is extremely courteous and professional. Great staff!
Rooms are very clean! No evidence of mold. Housekeeping deserves a gold star!
Gym is fully equipped, and the cleanest hotel gym you’ll ever see. They are consistently making sure it’s clean.

Unfortunately, the hotel uses a lot of air freshener throughout the entire building! If you have environmental sensitivities, are prone to headaches, have small children, or have allergies this might not be the hotel for you. Chemistry created smells can wreak havoc on the body.
Also, skip the breakfast, there are much better options nearby.

Pros: Generally a fantastic hotel and wonderful attentive staff. Clean, quiet rooms. Excellent location. Great spa.

Cons: Brass Tack consistently disappoints for dinner. Breakfast/brunch is always good, but dinner service is lacking. We’ve always had subpar bar service and dinner waitstaff that doesn’t seem to care and the menu is average for The Waldorf. Quite disappointing.

Locker room access and amenities are no longer included with a room. An extra $75/day per person. HUGE disappointment as this has always been a deciding factor over other hotel choices. Makes other properties more enticing.

4 stars overall due to average (at best) Brass Tack dinner service and restricted locker room access for the pool and fitness center.

Fantastic is an understatement

Every detail was immaculate... I felt like a princess... the fire place in my room was exceptional... the room was gorgeous, spacious, clean...

The "shuttle" was the nicest car I've experienced in my life. Massaging seat, smart screen controls, spacious and I felt like a star rolling in that car. Some odd BMW I didn't know existed.

My wife and I stayed at the WA-Chicago overnight to celebrate her birthday. I must say that from the time we arrived to the time we checked out, we'd been nothing but impressed. Each staff member, whether it was valet attendants, bellmen, front desk receptionists, or housekeeping, were hospitable, greeted us warmly, and were eager to tend to anything that we might have needed. The rooms were very clean and very nicely designed. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will most likely be staying there again in the not-too-distant future. And with that, a very very special thanks goes to Logan from concierge! When some things that I had planned did not come through, she went above and beyond, stepped in at the last minute and helped me put some things together for the room, which my wife is still smiling about. Not only that, her professionalism, kindness, and spirit of excellence was evident from first contact. She is definitely a wonderful asset to that establishment. Thanks again WA-Chicago for a great experience!

This review is a few months late. Our stay was absolutely incredible! The room was perfection, staff was absolutely amazing! Room service was prompt and the food was delicious! The fitness center was spacious and clean!

We received drop off services to nearby tourist attractions. We visited in November, so it was cold, and the drop off services were super convenient. Sheryl was super accommodating and well informed regarding the city!

Stayed over the weekend for a birthday celebration. I want to give a big thumbs up to the entire staff from management, front desk staff and housekeeping, everything was excellent. I don’t have one complaint. Sheryl was the epitome of an exceptional concierge. She along with Logan took care of making sure my husband’s birthday was a great experience. I definitely recommend this hotel and I normally don’t do reviews.

Was only here for an overnight, so I wasn’t expecting a tremendous experience but right off the bat the young man at check-in acted as if he didn’t know how to read an identification card. He continually misread and mispronounced my name until my friend stepped in and stopped his nonsense. Why would you allow such a rude person to work customer service? He’s giving guests their first impression of the place. Our room was fine. The bathrooms aren’t exactly private. Your toilet shares a door with the shower. Not exactly standard. I also had The misfortune of hearing the desk attendant being completely unprofessional. He was standing at the desk with what appeared to be guest checking in talking about how anyone who had left a negative review was expecting something for free. From reading the other reviews I don't think anyone is expecting anything but standard service.

This hotel has amazingly beautiful rooms, with sparkly tile that refracts rainbows onto metallic silver door paneling. Pics do not even do it justice. There is an enormous 3rd floor outdoor promenade level for relaxation, swimming, smoking, even barbecuing. The one negative thing I observed was that a tray full of dirty dishes and trash from a neighboring room was there before we checked in and remained there for the duration of our stay. Perhaps they are a bit understaffed here, but still. Speed of check-in also was not the greatest.

We stayed three nights and had a great experience. I took off one star for the hotel being overall stuffy/warm and because the doors to the rooms could do with a sound buffer along the bottom. The noise from just a regular conversation in the hallway would travel directly into the room so we put a towel along the bottom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor hot tub was only warm, but the indoor one was great and hot. The location was great. The hotel isn’t on a busy street but the busy areas are just a couple minutes walk away. I would stay here again.

The room did not have adequate AC. They gave us a room where the AC clearly hadn’t been on since the day prior while in the middle of summer. The issue is the room can’t catch up at all unless you are in the room because there is a “15 minute sensor”. Yes, you read that right, the sensor could even turn off the AC in the middle of the night.

IMO- Your sleep is worth picking a better property in Chicago.

I’ll note they tried to help by overriding the sensor but it took over 1 day for the room to get to an acceptable temperature (not the desired temperature).

In speaking with the front desk, we weren’t the only ones with complaints.

Location was good, and staff was friendly but it seems their ability to help is limited.

Really nice hotel in walking distance to many parks, restaurants, and river.
If you prefer a lot privacy using the restroom, just know that you can hear everything the way these bathrooms are set up and the toilet sat up really high which was weird.
Also, there is no refrigerator for personal use in rooms.
Pool area was really nice and hotel bar/restaurant was nice.

I stayed in the corner king room with the balcony and soaking tub when I last visited Chicago for business. This room was incredible. The view was spectacular! The room service was excellent and fast. The good folks at the front desk even helped clear up all questions I had. For everything you get for the room I would say it is a great value. I'll be back for sure!

My boyfriend and I stayed this past weekend for a family wedding, along with my boyfriend's service dog (SD). We had a fantastic time as is but the general manager (I didn't catch his name) went above and beyond checking in on us multiple times, ensuring that staff members were being accommodating. Which they definitely were, everyone was so kind and patient with us. Also the location was so convenient since there is a dog park/dog friendly park just around the corner and down some stairs. Honestly, it was a great experience and fantastic for fellow disabled travelers!

TLDR: Hotel staff and leadership was extremely kind and accommodating, and there is a dog friendly park nearby. 10/10 for disabled travelers!

Went on vacation with my girlfriend & her family. We stayed here & all the staff were more than helpful & very polite. They also accommodated me with my service dog flawlessly (as well as the insulin dependant person we were traveling with). The rooms were very clean & huge! Plenty of space. Also the location of the hotel is very close to everything in downtown Chicago so it's the perfect spot to stay. The restaurant inside the hotel was amazing as well!!!

This past Easter weekend our family stayed at this establishment. Checked in with concierge received our key cards and immediately went to room to relax since we drove 5 hours straight. Once room door was open I immediately went to the restroom, I quickly noticed that someone already took a number 2 and I can assume they had an explosive bowel movement. I immediately pulled my pants up and called guest services. After a 5-6 minute wait on the room phone, a rep picked up. We were advised by front desk rep to come back down to swap out key cards. Waited in line for an additional 10 minutes. Once addressed from an available guest service rep we received another room. If you are wanting to have proper water pressure via shower/tub (never used the tub due to how dirty it was) or toilet this is not the place. There was no ice machine, no complementary cups in the room, no refrigerator to store personal items ( unless you wanted to purchase overly priced Dollar Tree items) no bathroom hand towels to dry your hands properly so we used the Kleenex tissues that were next to the bathroom faucet. Could not use bath towels/wash clothes due to the limited supply we were provided daily. The bath towels/wash cloths etc where extremely hard and rough so we literally just aired dried our bodies. For the price we paid for this hotel during our stay, I could personally say to another current or future guest, please beware. If it wasn’t for the location of this hotel, my family would have just left the premises immediately.

The location of this hotel was perfect. However, when booking the room the pictures showed more windows and a bath tub. There was no bath tub in our room and the shower was absolutely terrible. There was very little water pressure and the design just ends up flooding the bathroom. The beds were decent and the room was clean. The fridge is non usable for personal items. The balcony was a great addition to enjoy the view. Do not pay their parking fees you can get it for a 1/3rd of the price on spothero

We stayed here last night and had a great stay! The room was beautiful and CLEAN. We were worried after reading the reviews on here but we didn’t have any of the problems that people are talking about. The front desk people were nice as well. The only downside is the crazy parking and having to pay $80 for valet parking.

The was room alright, the only really nice part about it was the view and the balcony. Though I have seen first hand why there are so many complaints about the cleanliness of the hotel. The covers, sheets and pillowcases do not get changed every day as they should be. There was debris under both of the beds all up under both beds. I didn’t realize until I was about to go to bed that my sheets smelled like urine and my pillowcase smelled like a man’s sweaty head. There were strange stains all in the covers and sheets. So I would recommend bringing your own sheets and pillowcases or just requesting fresh clean ones. The showerhead doesn’t get cleaned nor does the detachable one. They look like they need to be replaced. The towels don’t look like they got washed or replaced so I didn’t use those. There is basically no fridge in the room and if you touch the fridge, it will charge you even if you don’t take anything out of there. There should be a fridge for the guest to store their items. Luckily it is winter so it was cold enough that we were able to sit our Things outside that needed to be refrigerated even though we shouldn’t have had to do that in the first place.

The pool water doesn’t look very clean. It looks strange. I don’t know how to describe it, but it looks weird and not very cleanly.

The staff were very friendly and very professional.

They do charge you an urban fee of $30 and some change for every day that you’re there and say that you get two bottles of water I didn’t receive my two bottles of water but I didn’t want them regardless. I definitely don’t like hotels that charge you for something that you don’t even use. Let alone even want. I personally probably won’t be staying at this hotel again, but I did enjoy my view.

I’m writing this from the room I’m currently staying in. I expected more from a 4 star hotel that cost nearly $300/night.
Front desk personnel are very rude and not at all welcoming. Condescending when we asked questions about valet parking. They expect you to intuitively know how everything works and if you ask questions you’re met with the most snooty attitudes and sarcastic answers.
We asked how valet works here because it didn’t seem there was a valet attendant outside. They said just hand your keys to “him” on your way in. When we asked who “he” was, the concierge looked at us with a smirk and said “the valet”. When we asked how we could recognize him so we don’t pass our keys off to just anyone, she said “you’ll know who he is when you see him.” But when we did find him he was in plain clothes with no differentiating features from anyone walking by.
Our room is dingy and not as well kept as you’d expect for a four star hotel. Water damage on the ceiling, scuffs everywhere, visible dirt and stuck on bits on the floors, dirt and debris under the beds. Thermostat was set to 65° and it was hard to warm the room up: Blankets are thin and not premium, beds are hard. Toiletries are not premium as you would expect for a luxury hotel, they’re no-name standard motel soaps. Loud domestic disputes throughout the night from neighboring rooms. I expected more, and judging from the automated responses everyone else is getting from the hotel on their critical reviews, I don’t see things changing. I would skip the Radisson and stay elsewhere.

The rooms need attention. They are kinda dirty. Small touches are all busted, broken, or too dirty to touch. The staff was amazing. The pool us way too small. The hot tub was too packed and full of foam. The view of the park was amazing. The balcony is definitely the selling point. But for the price and position, the small details and opportunities to wow the customer are missed.

The hotel and experience itself was nice but they need a better sense of urgency (cleaning service took forever) and there was a domestic dispute incident in our neighbors unit and both security guards we called up for help were completely useless. They need better training on how to handle these situations and better hospitality towards the guests suffering from the disruption of peace (us). They completely dismissed us, stood there and watched, and were extremely unapologetic. HIRE BETTER SECURITY who actually know what to do to protect people. Very disappointing the way we were treated in the heat of a serious complaint as innocent bystanders and paying costumers.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Eurostars Magnificent Mile! The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and in such a perfect location to enjoy everything Chicago has to offer.
I want to especially highlight the front desk staff, Jaymes and Christian. They were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable. They gave me great recommendations for exploring the city—from restaurants to hidden gems, which really made my trip even better. Their customer service was top-notch and set the tone for an amazing experience.
I can’t wait to come back to Chicago and will definitely be booking with Eurostars Magnificent Mile again!

We arrived Delayed from travel - greeted with helpful front desk staff. The staff in the connected restaurant made sure we were able to get a late meal just at closing time. The room was nice- window views of the magnificent mile. The bar/restaurant staff were relentlessly great at making us comfortable and taking care of our needs. Worth checking out even if not staying at the hotel. Great food options and very inviting. Would stay here again.

Disappointing Stay – Misleading Pricing and No Privacy

I booked this hotel for a quick getaway and was left very disappointed, not just with the room, but with the way pricing and customer service were handled.

First, the website listed a “Total Price” of $1,022.34, only to quietly mention in small lighter print that taxes weren’t included. I was ultimately charged $1,200.23, which caught me off guard. When I reached out to the front desk and spoke with Pablo, who claimed to be the general manager, he flat-out told me that it doesn’t matter that “total price” is misleading because “it’s in the fine print.” That response alone was enough to ruin any chance of a positive impression.

Beyond the pricing, the room itself offered zero privacy. The bathroom has a sliding door with a wide marker-sized gap, so every sound and smell goes right into the room. On top of that, the curtain between the room and the shower/bathroom area can be pulled back from the outside, meaning if you’re not traveling alone good luck getting comfortable using the toilet. Personally, there’s no one I know well enough to be okay with that kind of exposure.

I knew the room would be small based on photos, and I was willing to accept that for the sake of a great view. Unfortunately, the only view was directly into the windows of the hotel across the street. Since the windows aren’t tinted, I had to keep my blinds closed the entire stay, because if I could see into their room, they could see into mine.

There are cheaper, nicer hotels in Chicago with more privacy, larger rooms, and more transparent billing. I won’t be staying here again.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel! I booked last minute after another hotel cancelled on me and I was surprised with the price considering the location. When I saw how low it was I thought there had to be a catch, but no! There wasn't any surprise hidden fees and everything was so transparent at the check-out. When I first arrived, the staff was so friendly and the rooms were cozy as well! I had a double bed room and the beds themselves were comfortable and I was completely obsessed with how soft the pillows were. The rooms are kept very clean and I loved the aesthetic of the hotel itself and the room. Also I could've stayed in the shower for hours! There is a frosted glass wall that separates the shower and the bed space, but there's a curtain that blocks your outline so no one sees you showering. The only thing I wish the room had was a lock for the backroom door rather than a sliding door as well as mini fridge that's not the minibar. I came for a concert and wished there was a fridge to put my water in before the concert so they were cold considering how hot it was, it's just a super minor thing though.

The location of this hotel is perfect! You're basically in the heart of the city and everything is in an extremely walkable distance. While staying here, I was already telling my friends and family how great the hotel was and that whenever I come to Chicago I plan on always coming back here unless I bring my dog since they don't allow pets!

I had an amazing stay! I had never been to Chicago before and was travelling from London before going to family wedding in Michigan.
The team were really friendly and so helpful. I was travelling alone mid-week and it was my birthday when I arrived. They very kindly upgraded me to a panoramic room which I couldn’t have been happier about! The room was absolutely stunning and I had views of the city. The bed was enormous and really comfy. I’m usually very fussy about beds and pillows, but I slept like a baby. The shower was at least double the size of my shower at home and the bathroom mirror was well-lit and great for make up. I got breakfast included which was a voucher for the downstairs restaurant which entitled me to a main, coffee and orange juice. Really tasty food and super filling.
I felt like an absolute princess the whole time I was there and I felt so sad to check out! Additionally the check out time was an incredibly reasonable midday. Would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

Location is good, The hotel itself is ok with few exceptions: some of the room/bathroom design features are unacceptable. 1. There is no sound/smell barrier between the room and bathroom, as the door is rolling barn door, without a guiding track, so the door swings freely, banging against the wall and all the sound and smell from the bathroom goes into the room. 2. The shower, when in use, is leaking good amount of water on the bathroom floor. The floor towel by the shower door is not enough to absorb the water. You need to put another big towel down to be able to walk in the bathroom afterwards. That is clearly a contractor's fault, leaving too big of a gap. 3. The bathroom has a window towards the room (the dumbest idea ever) and the curtain installed does not serve well as light barrier. Once one person is up, the other one is awaken by light in the bathroom, smell and the bagging bathroom door - terrible design! The balcony was locked.

Giving 2 stars only for the beautiful view and location . Right after we checked in and walked into our room we found this little guy on the bed . He was alive and was running all over the bed like it was his own lol . We went to the front desk explained whole situation and showed the picture of that roach 🪳. And girl at the front desk asked us the stupidness question you can imagine. She’s asked : do you want to change your room ?

I wanted to answer her : no we wanna chill with this roach on the bed .🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

Definitely need to work on customer service more and call pest control and something

We stayed at Eurostars Hotel this weekend and overall had a great experience! The reason i’m giving this 3 stars is mostly for the misleading information on the hotel. The beds were comfortable, we loved the shower and it had a great view from certain windows of the hotel, staff was overall friendly and accommodating and the location was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do!

The thing is, if you plan to book a King Room, it does not look like the 1 picture provided on the website at all. It claims floor to ceiling windows, but you actually just have one door with a large window that leads unto the patio, which is screwed off btw so you can’t access it. I was most exited for the views of the city but ended up feeling very closed off and locked in tbh. Because of the lack of windows or patio, I tried accessing the roof that they put all over their photos, but nope it was closed off for no reason listed. Not to mention, the service in the restaurant below was very poor. One guy behind the counter and maybe 5 people on the restaurant but didn’t get greeted until 11 minutes into sitting there. As a waitress myself, that’s not necessary. Overall I was slightly disappointed because my entire reason for choosing this hotel with an extreme lack of amenities, was the view and space promised. Just felt a little mislead!

I would recommend this hotel, but would want you to know this first!

Nice hotel close to most of the theaters. Rooms were clean, service was fine. In-house restaurant was a bit disappointing, but reasonable. Be prepared to pay for valet parking if you drive in. All told a good value for downtown hotel and we will likely stay again.

Very disappointing experience. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. For 2 nights of our stay we had no WiFi which really was an inconvenience. Understandable the power cut was out of the hotels control but the employees were not facilitating or accomodating in anyway. Asked for a refund early the next morning so we could move to another hotel for our second night but was refused. No TV, phone and WiFi for 2 nights. We were international guests and required WiFi to not only do work on our laptop but also for use to contact family and to get around etc while on this trip. We had to use Starbucks WiFi for the 2 days. Bank card had also been blocked and so we had asked to use the hotels phone but was told the phones were also down. The hotel offered no assistance and we had to go to an Irish bar to use a phone. Just felt really not accomodating. The room itself was small and dark - cheap furniture, small balcony door that didn't open offered the only light, shower head needs cleaning, bed sunkin in the middle which was very uncomfortable. Gym also very small and outdated. Access to the hotel was also not professional felt like you had to walk through a restaurant every time to get to the lobby. The staff were not very professional and welcoming overall which was very disappointing as we had stayed in 2 previous hotels on our trip and they were fantastic. This hotel is not worth the price and is certainly way below standard.

Amazing boutique hotel. I arrived early and Robert and a young lady - I believe her name was Zaria was so helpful. They checked me in allowed me to get settled and enjoy my trip. The hotel is close to everything. I walked everywhere- even in the cold. The hotel is certainly located to everything.
I did not utilize the gym or spa. But I will on my next trip.
I did utilize the restaurant for breakfast. The food was delicious. They have vegan options as well. They get a lot of foot traffic however the service is fast and easy.

I cannot wait to come back.

I recently stayed there for 1 night. Let me say this the best the best customer service from valet to staff. The front desk guy tall guy he was so nice any question we had he gladly answered and took care of our concern. Valet person was so nice and friendly. Breakfast was so good. It was walking distance to river walk and shopping district. Valet you have to pay or park on the street. I would definitely stay here again. We had the panoramic view room. Great gym and safest place. We went to gym late at night and someone came to check if everything is okay. I can’t say enough about this place.

My entire experience for my birthday weekend was so amazing and beautiful. The staff checking me in, the maintenance men were very nice and the cleaning ladies were very sweet and nice. They made sure to even just hold the door for us for the elevator. Even the security men and women were nice. The restaurant on the bottom floor have very tasteful breakfast. Thank you Eurostars for the experience 👏🏾👏🏾

My husband and I traveled to Chicago for business and selected this hotel because of its convenient location.

Our room was spacious and clean with a nice view, the service was great as well. They have a restaurant on the ground floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, which was very convenient. Oh, and their gym is pretty good too! Unfortunately, haven’t had a chance to try out the spa.

The hotel is also in a close proximity of several good restaurants, so there’re a lot of options in case you don’t have time to leave the area.

We will be back later this year, and both of us agreed that we will stay here again.

Viceroy gave us such a wonderful stay for our five year anniversary. The views were great, the rooftop pool was clean and very empty when we went in the morning, and the service was absolutely impeccable. We opted for the lake view and I can’t say enough how stunning it was to look at each morning.

What really made our stay wasn’t so much the hotel as much as it was the service we experienced. The entire staff was fantastic and on top of things, but I wanted to give a huge shout out and thank you Jasmine who absolutely made our night. When we came back from our last concert we requested plates and silverware for our leftovers. She not only sent up the silverware and plates but when we mentioned that we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary she also sent a bucket of champagne and chocolates. Thank you so much to Jasmine for the sweet surprise and the impeccable service. If we are on the Gold Coast again, we will absolutely be staying at Viceroy.

My ONLY small complaint is that our room ran super hot. We woke up in the mornings the room temp at 76 with the AC set to 66. They sent someone up which helped a bit our last morning, but didn’t totally fix the problem.

I am still so thankful and happy with our stay. Thank you, Viceroy. Now give Jasmine a raise and promotion please!

We stayed here for my wife’s 40th birthday and overall had a good time, but a lot of little things added up.

The positives:
The staff was excellent—friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay. The food was solid, and the drinks were great. Housekeeping was attentive, and in general the property has potential for a great experience.

The drawbacks:

At check-in, we arrived at 2pm hoping for an early check-in, but even with a 3pm check-in time, we didn’t actually get into our room until about 3:45.

Our room TV was basically unusable because the channel would constantly blip in and out.

A loud, random humming sound came and went throughout our stay, enough to be distracting.

Outside, we saw a rat, which was unsettling but expected for a city.

The elevator was painfully slow.

The pool bar was very busy, and after waiting over 10 minutes to order, I was told they had no beer available.

I had requested foam pillows, which were provided, but oddly taken away during turndown service and I had to ask again.

We weren’t able to access the rooftop bar because it was “at capacity,” which was frustrating as paying hotel guests.

We stayed four nights and did enjoy ourselves overall, but it wasn’t the “amazing” experience we hoped for on such a special occasion. With a few improvements, this could easily be a five-star property.

Absolutely love this place! The vibe is warm, stylish, and chic without feeling cookie cutter. Everything was spotless, and from the moment we arrived the staff made the stay special. The valet was always quick and friendly, and the front desk team was consistently helpful, professional, and welcoming every time we needed something.

We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was incredible. The views were great, the bed was a little soft but still cozy, and the bathroom stole the show. The freestanding tub inside the shower felt like a full spa experience and alone made the stay worth every penny.

The rooftop bar Pandan was a fun spot too. Drinks leaned a little sweet and service could have been faster, but it was still worth visiting and much better than what used to be there. The restaurant on the grounds had plenty of options and everything we tried was delicious. The location is also fantastic with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and attractions nearby.

I have stayed at a few different hotels in Chicago, and this one is by far my favorite.

Overall a beautiful, high end hotel with exceptional service. Somerset restaurant isn't anything special but we enjoyed one dinner there. Liked the in room dining for breakfast. Lots to choose from and we liked the food. Came quickly. The pool area is way to small. Hardly any loungers. The pool is tiny. There were never enough loungers for the amount of people wishing to enjoy the pool. The fitness room is average but well maintained and has a nice view of the city. Really enjoyed the complimentary cold infused waters in the lobby. Rooms were beautiful, modern and comfortable. Would stay here again.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a great overall experience. The location is excellent — central, convenient, and easy to access nearby attractions. The staff were especially friendly and accommodating, always quick to respond and fulfill room requests with efficiency and professionalism. The hotel team did go above and beyond for us. Everyone who works here was truly lovely and welcoming.

One of the standout features is the rooftop pool patio. The views are stunning, and it’s a great place to relax. That said, the pool area could benefit from a bit more organization. Having a dedicated pool attendant for food and drink service would really elevate the experience and make better use of the space for guests.

The pool itself has more of a cocktail-lounge vibe, which makes it feel more appropriate for adults. It would be ideal if the hotel clearly designated this area as 18+ or adults-only, as it’s not particularly suitable for children.

Despite a few minor suggestions for improvement, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Huge shout out to Antonio. It's been a week and I'm still telling people about him. I tease that he made our trip worth the drive. His friendliness and care made us feel like more than guests.

Loved our room with a view of the lake. Beautifully appointed rooms with an art deco flair. I loved the bathrobe so much I bought it! Have a drink at Sparrow around the corner or shop! Have the best pancakes at the Original Pancake House!

I came to Chicago for a solo birthday trip and the best choice I made was staying at the Viceroy!! Everything about this hotel was exceptional! It’s in the center of everything all the stores and restaurants! As a travel agent I was extremely impressed with the hospitality and customer service. Huge shoutout to Ella she was amazing!! She is so helpful and sweet she assisted me with upgrading to a Jr suite which is a beautiful room and made sure I was comfortable. She made the experience so easy thank you so much! Chris was also very nice and helpful he gave me plenty of recommendations for my stay. Everyone was exceptionally nice. I can’t wait to return and recommend my customers.

I will caveat this review by saying g maybe we got unlucky…?

This is a nice 3* hotel but nothing else. We arrived from London and my bag was not on the same plane so we explained that to the lady at the check in desk and there was zero sympathy, offer of toiletries or anything else to help with our dilemma.

We booked and paid for a King lake view which was their ‘best’ room before moving to suites and we could not believe how tired and small the room was. There was hair on the floor (possibly dog) rips and stains on the upholstery and next to no storage space. The service was non existent and we emailed twice whilst we were there because reception never answered the phone and we didn’t get a single reply.

It was a very special trip for us and we had reached our prior to arriving and asked for a higher floor. They replied saying they would sort that and would be in touch a week or two before our arrival to discuss extras. There were extras that we wanted which would help us mark the occasion but you guessed it, nobody got in touch… We explained as much to the receptionist when we checked and she just said “I’m sorry to hear that”… What she should have said was, what extras were you looking at? Let me get somebody to pop up to your room and have a chat about what’s available and how we can make your stay extra special…

The lobby was small, the staff very rarely engaged or said hi and we felt most unwelcome for the entirety of our stay. We just could not recommend this hotel, there’s lots more far nicer and better value hotels in Chicago and for our next visit, we will look elsewhere.

A very average stay in an incredible city, lesson learnt for us.
I was excited to stay here. The rooms are nice and location is great. Just the service. None of the people I interacted with wanted to be there. Their attitude was I have to do this and there was zero warmth joy or personality. Probably won’t be returning. Go across the street to the Thompson and you get both great rooms and people.

We just wrapped up our wedding weekend and had an excellent stay at the Viceroy! We had our guests booked here for the weekend and we can’t say enough about the great hospitality the whole team provided. We worked with Anna to coordinate all of the details for our room block and she was incredibly detailed and helpful through the process. Allison at the front desk and Chi at the wonderful rooftop bar (Pandan) were friendly and took great care of everyone. We would absolutely recommend the Viceroy to anyone visiting Chicago or those looking for a great place to host wedding guests.

We enjoyed the Viceroy for a weekend birthday trip. The rooms were beautiful, the lake view was fantastic, and the rest of the hotel was a joy. The lobby staff were very kind and accommodating. David was wonderful, providing food and fun recommendations, assisting with luggage, and flagging down our car service. We will be coming back for sure. I would say maybe don’t intend to visit their restaurant the last 30 minutes before close. We sat at the bar for a drink before heading to our room and it took over 15 minutes to have our cocktail order taken and the bartender was rather annoyed.
