We did not stay at the hotel, but I wanted to say a tremendous THANK YOU for the hospitality shown to us all as we fled to safety on Saturday during the shooting and bomb threat. We were all greeted with compassion, with fresh water, coloring books and crayons given to our athletes to keep their minds off everything. The staff was above and beyond to help us feel welcome, safe, and protected. Serving the kids pizza was so thoughtful as everything erupted right around lunch time, it was about 3 pm, we were still waiting for some families to be reunited, and most of our children had not eaten all day (busy comp mornings and comp day jitters etc). I just wanted you to know it was so appreciated.

I spent 1 night at the Joule in a deluxe king size bedroom for my birthday. Just to spend time alone. I did not select any amenities. However, to my surprise the hotel guest relations manager, Justin place complementary champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a birthday cake in my room. Thank you so much for making my stay memorable.

I really like the joule but we had a few problems with our stay. When we walked down the halls it didn't smell like a five star hotel. It smelled terrible like sewage. Also our suite had a smell coming from the couch. It smelled like someone had a little too much fun and it wasn't cleaned properly. I did enjoy the birthday decorations, cake, and champagne. The spa is the best part of the hotel. It is comparable to Caesar's Palace in Vegas but much smaller. I will be back for the spa.

A Stay to Remember – Exceptional Service!I recently stayed at the Joule during a work trip to Dallas—my first time visiting the city. The hotel itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and in a great location. However, what truly made this stay memorable was the outstanding service from the staff. After checking out, I realized I had left something incredibly valuable behind—my wedding ring. Naturally, I panicked, thinking it was lost forever. But the hotel staff went above and beyond, searching my room and eventually finding the ring stuck between the bed. They not only contacted me immediately but also ensured it was safely mailed back to me.This level of care and dedication is rare, and I can't thank the team enough. If you're looking for a place where hospitality truly shines, I highly recommend The Joule. A special shoutout to David in security who is a life saver( and checks in on my ring from time to time) and Kyle in management. It is rare to find people like this! I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Dallas!

My husband and I love The Joule! We’ve been spending every anniversary here for the last few years and they always go out of their way to give us impeccable service… to free glasses of Champagne at check in or an unexpected platter of chocolate covered strawberries and wine delivered to our room. Everyone from the valet to the receptionist to the waitress and bartender in their restaurants have been great. The rooms are also quiet and modern. It’s a lovely boutique hotel with upscale amenities and we look forward to coming every year 🙂

This is an older hotel with a fresh coat of paint and new furniture, but the upgrades feel superficial. It’s one of those properties that “upgrades” you to the same room on a higher floor. Overall, it’s an average Marriott property with nothing particularly impressive. The shower head leaked, resulting in poor water pressure, and the conditioner dispenser was empty—small details that added to a lackluster experience.

I had an amazing stay at the Marriott Las Colinas. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided outstanding hospitality, making me feel truly welcomed. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with modern and stylish decor that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The location is another plus. It’s conveniently close to great restaurants, entertainment, and major attractions in Irving. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, this hotel is a perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Except the location, nothing is outstanding. You would never expect this from a Marriott. No amenities were provided, you had to ask for almost everything and follow up a couple times to get what you wanted. Room service food was horrible. Ordered a medium rare burger but came with an overcooked burger with very thin patty. Why bother asking me about the doneness even?? Housekeepers are not so kind and helping either. Breakfast was not included. Noise cancellation does not exist. I could hear people walking and talking outside. My bed headboard even shook when my neighbour closed his door. Yet they charged me $390 per night for this.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Las Colinas and overall had a pleasant experience, but there were a few standout pros and cons worth mentioning. The Good:Room Design: The rooms are nicely decorated with contemporary touches, thoughtful lighting, and a beautiful painting on the wall. The nook by the large windows is a great spot to relax, read, or enjoy the view.Amenities: The room included a coffee machine and a complimentary bottle of water, which is always a welcome touch.Facilities: There’s a well-equipped workout room and a small but sufficient swimming pool on the first floor. Both are great additions if you like to stay active during your trip.Location: The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the Irving Convention Center—perfect for anyone attending an event or conference there.Lake View: If you’re booking a room, definitely request a higher floor with a lake or pond view. It’s absolutely worth it. the view is stunning (check out the attached picture). The Not-So-Good:Housekeeping Disturbance: Unfortunately, housekeeping knocked on my door loudly at 8 AM on the day of my checkout and even attempted to enter. This happened again at 10 AM, even though checkout time is 11 AM. It felt intrusive and unnecessary, and it disrupted what should have been a relaxing morning.Other Notes:There was a slight musky smell in the hallways and the room, but it wasn’t overwhelming—just something to be aware of.Overall a good place to stay. I would recommend it.

Incredibly chic hotel with kind and attentive staff. My company hosted a yearly workshop here and held all our meetings and lunches throughout the day at the hotel and the meals were outstanding. My room (with a complimentary upgrade) was simply stunning! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest during a work trip. 10/10, would come stay here for any and all future trips to Austin.

Avoid this hotel—management is dishonest and untrustworthy! The good part:The food at the hotel is decent, and they offer a free shuttle service that can take you to nearby places within a three-mile radius. However, my experience here was frustrating and disappointing.I stayed for three nights and had an issue with one male staff member who acted more like a pushy car salesman than a hospitality professional. This hotel is right next to a construction site. At night, workers use heavy machinery to load trash into dumpsters, making constant, loud beeping noises. I was woken up at 1 AM and 5 AM, and the noise was unbearable in the quiet of the night.I brought this up to the front desk at 7 AM, and they offered to switch my room. I asked if I needed to move my belongings before leaving for work, but they reassured me that I could do it later when I returned. Trusting their word, I packed all my things and went about my day. When I came back in the evening, the male staff member at the front desk—who I hadn’t spoken to earlier—refused to swap my room. Even after I explained the morning conversation again and again, he blamed me for not moving earlier and was rude and dismissive. It was clear he had no intention of honoring what his colleague had promised. After a frustrating back-and-forth, he finally agreed to the room change—but by then, the damage was done.Their dishonesty and terrible customer service showed that they only care about keeping guests locked in, not about providing a good experience.I initially planned to give this hotel a 4-star review, but after being lied to and disrespected, I can barely give it a 2-star rating.Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else—this hotel does not deserve your money.

🏨 ❤️ 🏨 ❤️ LOVEEEEEE IT!ZaZa Austin Downtown is our go-to hotel whenever we visit Austin. The service is outstanding, and the staff is always attentive to every detail. They make sure you have everything you need, from water and ice to complimentary snacks and drinks in the lobby. Our first stay was during ACL Music Festival, and we loved that they provided free transportation and fun festival goodies like temporary tattoos, stools, and accessories. The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The beds are amazing, and the decor is elegant. We returned for Thanksgiving and my birthday, and they made it extra special by upgrading us to a Bungalow suite—it felt like a stylish studio apartment with a stunning view. They even surprised me with a bottle of champagne. Room service is convenient, especially with their late-night menu.Another highlight is their incredible spa, perfect for unwinding. The location is amazing—right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of great restaurants, the Capitol, and so much more. We love the area!ZaZa Austin Downtown always exceeds our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back!

UPDATE: Got a call from the hotel manager who apologized for my experience & comped some mini-bar charges as a show of good faith. I appreciate the gesture & updated my review to 3 stars.Regret to say that I was disappointed with my experience at Hotel Zaza. While the room was clean & bed was comfortable, service was cold and unwelcoming. I am not sure if I was greeted with a smile by a staff member at any point during my stay, & frequently got the sense that staff members felt annoyed or burdened by minor requests.Valet was visibly frustrated when I asked him to keep my car out as I checked in & dropped off my bag. Front desk met me with a brusque "no" when I called down to see if they happened to have a phone charger (which many hotels of this caliber would). Cleaning staff member looked at me in perplexity when I asked how to access the stairwell & inquired why I would want to take the stairs. Front desk attendant was cold when activating my room key for an extra hour despite granting me a late check-out.Ultimately, every interaction with staff members felt like a business transaction - formal, stiff, and uninviting. At this price point, I would expect more an effort to make guests feel comfortable. Not to mention, I had an unpleasant interaction with another guest who made no effort to control his dog as it sniffed me, poked its head between my legs, pawed at me, & barked on the elevator; he completely ignored me as we got off the elevator. Overall conveyed an air pretentiousness.

The Statler Dallas, Curio Collection

As soon as I stepped into the hotel’s lobby, I was transported back in time to the era of Mid-Century design. The hotel’s commitment to preserving its historical charm while offering modern amenities is evident in every corner. It’s a true gem for history enthusiasts and design aficionados, and it offers a glimpse into Dallas’s rich past.

The Balcony Suite: One of the highlights of this historic hotel is the personal balcony that comes with each terrace suite. Stepping onto the balcony, I was greeted by the sights and sounds of the city. The view from the balcony allowed me to enjoy the city’s energy while being immersed in the comfort and privacy of my room. It was a truly unique experience that made me feel like a part of Dallas’s vibrant life.

Luxury and Amenities: The hotel offers spacious and luxurious guest rooms equipped with all the modern conveniences you could desire. From smart TVs and free Wi-Fi to minibars and Nespresso machines, it’s clear that no detail has been overlooked. Room service is available 24/7, ensuring that guests are well taken care of throughout their stay.

Resort-Style Outdoor Pool: One of the many perks of this historic hotel is its resort-style outdoor pool. Whether you’re looking to take a leisurely swim, soak up the Texas sun, or simply unwind with a book, the pool area provides a serene oasis within the bustling city.

Dining and Entertainment: The hotel boasts an array of dining and drinking venues, including a swanky speakeasy that’s perfect for an evening cocktail and a rooftop pool and bar where you can enjoy panoramic views of Dallas. These venues are a testament to the hotel’s dedication to providing guests with an all-encompassing experience that satisfies all their cravings for food and entertainment.

The room and hotel itself was great. Everything looks very nice and luxurious. However, there is NO hot water. If you use the showerhead, the water turns hot after 20 minutes, but if you use the bathtub, the water will never run warm. The morning of the 19th, there was no hot water for any of the guests and several complained to front management. There is also no parking designated for non-valet hotel guests. You have to walk to a shady garage that isn't owned by the hotel.Other than that, it was very clean and pretty.Definitely not 4 stars though.

If Frank Sinatra and a modern luxury hotel had a baby, it would be The Statler Dallas. This place oozes old-school cool with a side of high-end comfort, and I’m officially obsessed.First off, the vibes—pure mid-century magic. Walking in, I half expected to see Don Draper sipping an Old Fashioned in the lobby. The decor is sleek, stylish, and just the right amount of retro without feeling like a museum. The rooms? Gorgeous. Comfy beds that make you question all your life choices regarding mattress purchases, sleek decor, and windows that make Dallas look like your personal kingdom. And the best part? The rooftop pool—because nothing says luxury like sipping a cocktail while pretending you’re in a music video.Speaking of drinks, the bar scene here is elite. The bartenders know their craft, and the cocktails are dangerously good. One drink in, and I was feeling sophisticated; two drinks in, and I was convinced I should buy a fedora and start calling people “kid.”The service? Impeccable. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and somehow managed to make me feel like a VIP, even though I definitely did not arrive in a Rolls Royce.Long story short—if you’re coming to Dallas and want a mix of history, luxury, and just a little bit of rockstar energy, The Statler is your spot. I’ll definitely be back

Rooms had a musty smell and felt stuffy. Decor was very outdated, bathroom was nice with a tub and rain shower. No door where the toilet it, bathroom is completely open. We went to the speakeasy, service was below mediocre. They poured water in a $20 old fashion. Bar is overpriced. Crowd is young and rowdy, tons of people spill in from the street. Don’t think I would come back, I’ve seen what I had to see.

Rooms are clean, comfortable, and generously proportioned with nice styling. Given other reviews, I was afraid this would be a hipper than thou type hotel. But the service was very friendly, if a bit clueless at times. Room service doesn’t start til 7am, so it can be a little annoying for the business traveler who may have early weekday meetings. I would consider coming back for a fun weekend getaway.

A beautiful hotel and conference center in beautiful downtown Dallas. I love the easy access to hotel entrance, no traffic, lots of parking structures and lots around, even street parking. Our team had a conference in their meeting room and the services are just amazing, they keep the water full with ice through out the day. They keep the restrooms clean. They open doors for you every time. The hotel is super clean and beautiful. Top notch place to stay or have a large meeting.

I recently hosted a business conference at the Virgin Hotel Dallas with over 150 attendees, and the experience was fantastic. The service was top-notch—attentive, professional, and accommodating to all our needs. The conference space was well-equipped and comfortable, making it an excellent venue for a corporate event. The entire facility had a modern, stylish feel, and every detail was well thought out. The restaurant and bar downstairs were exceptional, offering great food and a lively atmosphere. One of the standout features was the amazing coffee shop, which had a great selection, including vegan options. Additionally, the hotel provided a driver service to a nearby restaurant, which was a thoughtful touch that made logistics easier for our group.Overall, Virgin Hotel Dallas exceeded our expectations, and I’d highly recommend it for both business and leisure stays. Looking forward to returning!

I can’t say enough good about our stay here. All of the staff is so welcoming and kind. I even overheard a 5yr old calling the desk from a room and the front desk handled it with grace, kindness and giggles! Our first day checking in, my luggage was lost, oddly enough they had a clothing pop up in the bar! Bought some items to get me through. The front door staff was always there opening the door and asking about our day, or evening. Remembering the small details about the happenings we chatted about. The shuttle service took us places nearby, up to 3 miles which is huge for two visitors that typically Uber everywhere. The cafe was above and beyond our expectations. Honestly, this must be a great place to work, all staff seems very content to be here and it shows.Oh, can’t forget the rooms. We had a room with the ability to separate the bathroom/shower/vanity and sink from the living/sleeping area. Mini fridge has everything you could possibly want as far as cold drinks, a kettle with tea/coffee bags for in room brewing and a fun snack bar!Keep making your employees happy, this is by far the best hotel stay I’ve ever experienced.

Stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend, and it was an incredible experience. This was my first time at a Virgin Hotel, and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The room was top-notch, the front desk was seamless, and the staff’s attentiveness was next-level. Every detail was well thought out, and the overall vibe of the hotel was unmatched. The bar was a major highlight, vinyl music spinning, great atmosphere, and the perfect spot to start off the night or keep it going. Had an amazing time there. I honestly wish there were more of these hotels. Highly recommend. If I’m visiting a city with a Virgin Hotel, there’s a 99% chance I’m staying there.

We stayed here for a long weekend to visit family over the holidays. They had a fun holiday pop up which was extremely busy but fun. The rooms and all hotel decor were really fun and modern. Comfy bed and nice perks when booking through Capital One travel. Amazing shower and fabulous view of the city. We didn't get to use the pool or gym, but they looked really well-equipped and nice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!UPDATE: after booking our room with Capital one travel and having a bunch of perks like free breakfast and $100 room credit I did notice we were overcharged by almost $200 and hardly any of our credits were applied. I would have rated a 4.5 if that was an option but I did take a star off because there was back and forth to have the bill corrected.
