Rewriting my review to say - Robert and the twins at the pool and many of the other staff members were great! With that being said, the signage could be improved and they need more towel stations. The elevator signage needs to be updated as well since the signs don’t match the buttons. We had an issue ordering room service - they weren’t answering and we had no menu. The concierge said they didn’t have a menu either so they couldn’t help us except to keep transferring us. We waited over an hour for dessert (the staff apologized). It doesn’t sound like a big deal but it is for someone who is handicapped. We were a bit frustrated walking around in circles. It was a nice hotel though!

We had a great experience staying at the Marriott in North Myrtle Beach! The facilities were clean and well-kept, which made for a comfortable and pleasant stay without any issues.

The pool was a true highlight spacious, inviting, and perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Whether you wanted to swim or just lounge nearby, it had a great atmosphere for both families and couples.

One of the best parts was the easy access to the beach. Just a short walk from the property, we were on the sand within minutes so convenient and perfect for sunrise strolls or a full beach day.

The staff was also fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, clean, and convenient place to stay in North Myrtle Beach, this Marriott is a solid choice.

We recently returned from our daughter's first beach trip, and our stay at the Marriott resort was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.

We did encounter a small issue during our stay, but the resort's management handled it with exceptional care. They were quick to address the problem and offered us a generous $100 credit towards dinner, a new room with ocean view, and a surprise fruit and cheese platter one night which was a lovely surprise. It really showed their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Overall, our stay at this resort was wonderful, and we can't wait to return for future vacations. The combination of the beautiful location, friendly staff, and excellent service made it an unforgettable trip. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beach getaway!

The rooms were okay—not exactly what we expected—but after sharing our concerns, we received a personal call from the manager who made sure everything was taken care of. That level of follow-up was appreciated.

What truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding service at the hotel restaurant. Our server, Mo, is one of a kind. We’ve been staying at Marriott properties for the past 15 years, and we have never experienced the kind of service Mo provides. Every morning, we specifically asked to be seated in his section—and we weren’t the only ones. We noticed other guests doing the same. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail are simply unmatched.

We recently stayed at the Marriott Resort and Spa in Myrtle Beach and had a great experience overall. Our first night was a little rough due to some very loud neighbors in the middle of the night, but hotel staff handled it quickly and professionally. They also gave us breakfast coupons and a $100 credit as an apology, which we really appreciated.

We also booked massages at the spa - Jeff, the masseuse, was fantastic and worth every penny. The resort itself was beautiful and well-maintained. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Myrtle Beach!

I came down for a cheer competition with my daughter, and it was so important that we had a safe, welcoming place to stay. What I found was something even better.

After another Marriott canceled on us last minute due to a leak, I ended up here and I’m so glad I did. Kaleb, the night attendant, was one of the kindest souls I’ve met. Moya and Logan from the restaurant were warm and genuinely thoughtful. The guest shop attendant? Just as kind.

This wasn’t just a stay, it was an experience. If you’re coming to Myrtle Beach, don’t even think about staying anywhere else.

Had a terrible time finding this place and continuously turned around looking for the building I was to report to only to be shooed away and ignored while asking questions. Not friendly at all, and they don't cater to people who look like me. I am very disappointed in the treatment of my husband and myself. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place to black or brown people. Beautiful grounds and facilities but definitely reminds me of a plantation.. Too far from the oceanfront and all other establishments.. you'll spend more time driving back and forth than enjoying your trip.

Great place and was acknowledged by every staff member. Rooms clean. Location perfect being in the center of Myrtle but far enough away from the huge crowds. Shout out to Mike in valet who was super nice, informative, and helpful. Our server in the bar who served us drinks on 4/8 at 730ish. Can't remember her name but was super sweet. Great job. Highly recommended!

Marriott is always a top choice for our hotel stays. We stayed here for the Weekend to Remember Marriage Retreat. Rooms were clean and updated. We had one fluke…our first coffee shop experience was less than desirable, as one of their bartenders was seemingly unwilling to assist her coworkers, and was very rude to us. Don’t worry though! Their Food and Bev Manager, Christina made it right. She offered her sincere apologies and comped us two free, delicious macchiatos, despite me telling her that that was not my expectation from our conversation. But, she insisted. I saw her in the hallway later that day and she remembered me by name. Even after those macchiatos, she still felt the need to make us feel even more welcome by having room service deliver us a cheese and fruit plate to our room, on our time, with an apology note! We are truly grateful for Christina and her desire for true hospitality and excellent customer service. We will definitely be staying again, and Marriott will always be our first choice!

Thank you for everyone at this hotel for making it a pleasant and comfortable stay! The rooms were clean and spacious.
Thank you to Trent for bringing out my breakfast and coffee asap because he knew I was rushing to the airport. Thank you to Kenny and Andrea for the exceptional service! And thank you to Caitlin for helping me after I realized I forgot my charger at the hotel!

On the surface, it appears to be a resort worthy hotel. However, there are many annoying things missing that one would expect to find in a moderate business class hotel, such as a water reservoir for refilling water containers. Here, you are forced to use plastic water bottles, which is telling of a facility that doesn't care about the environment. Also, if you crave an evening snack, the gift shop closes early and does not carry many snacks. Next, if you're looking for a decent coffee, there is no cafe. You are forced to get crappy coffee at the bar. These are items that you can typically find in a business class hotel but not at this "resort."

Additionally, the wifi is wicked slow!

I had a great time at this hotel. I love the setup. They have indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, an on-site restaurant, and a bar. The bartenders were nice and friendly, and drinks were well made. There is a game room for kids. A small gift shop. There is an on-site spa. You can walk right out onto the beach from the pool area, where they have hammocks and plenty of lounge space. The hotel is clean and beautiful. The only thing i did not like was the room balcony is just a railing, not a real balcony that you can step out on. Do not expect to be able to sit on the balcony. Other than that i would definitely visit again, and the hotel is A one 👌🏽 ✨️ ❤️

I attended a New Year's Eve event only there. Valet parking was convenient and young man was pleasant and professional. However he could have used some help.
The event was for 350 people. Serving of the meals was timely and we enjoyed our meal. Our young server with long dark curly hair did a great job taking care of our table.
The most negative thing of the evening was the purchasing of tickets to get beverages. There was only one clerk at our end of the room to get drink tickets and it was a very slow process. The worst part of beverages that had to be purchased was the cost. Glass of wine was 13.75. Mixed drinks, 14.25. Bottle of water was 7.50. Many people were flabbergasted at these prices and limited themselves to one. Ice tea and a glass of water were provided at the table and included with the meal. We will not return and pay these prices. Facility was beautiful though.

The condo was just as described, was clean and amply well supplied.
We did not use the pools so I can’t comment on that, but there are several as well as a lazy river! And it’s on the rooftop!
The staff is very attentive and their communication is quick and knowledgeable.
The only downside I can find to our stay was the parking deck. If you have a larger pick up truck, it is a bit of a nightmare. It’s not the resort’s fault. It’s just the way it is.

We stayed here for two nights and unfortunately, didn’t sleep at all during our stay. For over $800, we expected at least some level of comfort, but this hotel missed the mark on several levels.

The elevators were slow, overcrowded, and miserably hot. Plan to wait 10+ minutes just to get on one especially if you’re staying in Tower 1, which is across the street from the parking building and a hassle to get to and from.

The room itself was okay, but the noise levels were out of control. Quiet hours meant nothing there was nonstop stomping, yelling, and furniture being dragged around well into the night and continued until 4/5am. We could hear our neighbors snoring through the walls. It literally felt like a football team was staying above us. After the first night, we let the front desk know, and while they said they’d monitor it, nothing changed the second night.

The on-site “restaurant” was also disappointing. Everything tasted like it came out of a microwave. Honestly, save yourself the money and eat elsewhere.

Between the heat in the hallways and elevators, the unbearable noise, and the lack of sleep, this hotel was a complete waste of money. For the price we paid, the bare minimum would be a peaceful night’s rest which we never got. Would not stay here again.

I guess I was a tad disappointed. Felt more like a hotel room than condo. The staff were very friendly. When we first got there our refrigerator wasn’t cold at all. We contacted front desk; they sent someone up, but took awhile. They said nothing was wrong with it that it just needed sometime to “catch up” . The smell in the hallways were awful. Parking sucked. They’re two towers 1 and 2. I wasn’t aware of that until I got there. Tower 2 is not right on the beach like I read. Checking in and out was a breeze. We didn’t even use our tickets for breakfast that I paid for. The day before we went to get some dinner and they were not much on the menu at all to choose from. I don’t believe I will stay here again. I expected different. For the price I paid for 4 days, I will pay a little more for a actual condo ON THE BEACH!

Such easy access to the beach. With my limited mobility, this location was a dream, and a doable walk to enjoy the beach.
The pier is right there, unfortunately, I over did a few days and did not attempt the pier. I did find out after that apparently there is someone with a golf cart that can take those who are not able to walk the pier out to the end. I did not actually confirm this for myself, although, I did see from our wonderful balcony a golf cart that would go out on the pier.
I did not rate on service since we rented through Thomas Beach Vacations. TBV was helpful at all steps of the reservation and our stay. Had a few minor issues, someone was sent immediately, even though we told them it would not affect our stay and was just something that should have attention.
But PRINCE RESORT, had very helpful employees at the desk, so very friendly.
Again, I cannot say enough about the location and ease of beach access!!

If I could leave a 0 stars I would. We have stayed here the past 4 years and loved it. However this time was enough. We spent 4 hours trying to get our room right. We booked this vacation way in advance back in March. We booked a 2 bedroom condo and was only offered this room in the pictures below. We have stayed in this room in the past and never had any type of issue until now. My family and I are not gonna stay in a moldy room with rust. We have stayed in a lot of rooms in the past, but this was by far the worst. After arguing with the Management for four hours, they told us there was nothing that could be done and that we could not offer anything else for you. I would highly recommend NOT staying at this resort due to the cleanliness. We did hear about other complaints of no running water inside the whole entire building. These are issues that will affect anyone in the long run. They 100% need to be addressed. But it truly seems that no one around the property cares at all.

We love Prince Resorts. It’s convenient to area of Cherry Grove and North Myrtle Beach. All employees were kind and helpful. Any and all questions asked were answered. The unit was nice and clean. The housekeeper’s did a fantastic job. Kept us supplied with plenty of towels, hand towels and wash clothes. It will not be our last time staying at Prince Resorts.

Nothing special about Prince Resort. Rooms are clean though somewhat outdated. Tubs on 305 are extremely high and tough for older people to navigate getting in and out. Front desk staff very friendly.
Now the 3500 restuarant; $14.95 buffet breakfast is way overpriced. You get 3 options of fruit from a can, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, grits, French toast strips or scrambled eggs. No option for waffles, pancakes or eggs cooked to order. Was first in line 2 mornings and had to wait for eggs to get done, grits and gravy were cold. How when they just opened?
Pier resturaunt is very good, medium priced and food pretty good; recommended the crab cakes.
Parking for tower 1 is across street in open lot or garage. Inconvenient if weather is bad. Overall if your looking for average beachfront accommodations with lackluster food this might be for you. If not, look elsewhere.

This is the friendliest staff who are willing to assist. We were waiting for the elevators which was the slowest, a housekeeper was using it. She had a cart so we couldn’t get in with our suitcases. The sweet lady pulled her cart out let us in then got back in, who does that! Great people, who love serving people, work here

The hotel was right at the ocean front & had beautiful views. The beach walk was so nice the sand was super soft & cool.

Besides the slow elevator the only other complaint is the shower water pressure which was terrible. It would almost stop flowing then start back up again throughout the shower. The parking lot is also located across the street from the hotel but it’s a nice stroll & free!

Our favorite place to stay in NMB. Beautiful ocean, near great restaurants, and far from the circus that is MB! For those desiring a more laid back and quiet place to read a book and enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean. Love the almost daily dolphin parades. Front desk staff are outstanding! Perfect place to watch the launches from Cape Canaveral from the comfort of your balcony on evenings when it's clear!

I arrived on Saturday for an extended stay. My room is on the 15th floor. Everything was fine until I arrived back here today with
my groceries (including frozen foods). It's very wet and windy right now, and I was stunned to discover none of the elevators are working. I'm 70 years old, so walking up flight after flight of stairs was challenging and took some time. When I called the front desk the clerk was very terse with me, telling me I should have waited a few minutes. Now, 45 minutes after arriving, the elevator it STILL not fixed. I wonder how long they expected me to wait? My first issue is that the elevator goes out when it's windy. My second issue is how I was spoken to by the desk clerk. I am not happy.

For me it was 2nd year in a row the group I was with 5 or 6. In general the rooms are okay, problem is age related closet doors do not work and some units have more updated appliances and furniture. The front desk was okay but was unable to help us with one frustrating issue, we would leave for dinner, etc. and come back to a room that smelled like smoke or pot and the building is smoke free. The solution was to have security check it out when they made rounds. Did not use the pools this time but did in the past and they are great also you are staying on the beach or just across the street.

My wife and and I have vacationed here before and this was our third time and all I can say is WOW!... The service was beyond and above average . They took care of our needs at the drop of a hat . We also received text message that they sent out to basically check in on us to make sure our stay and needs were being met and let me tell you their house keeping staff was on point day and night! Almost made us buy the room we was in because we didn't want to come back home (😁) . Honestly we enjoyed our stay here at Prince Resort and definitely will be returning for more stays in the future and we highly recommend this place for a short or long stay. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Prince Resort for all that you did for us on our vacation trip we greatly appreciate you guys.
Huge huge huge shout out to the house keeping crew you guys were AWESOME!!!

This place has awesome views and great amenities. The pools, hot tubs, and lazy river was great. I also loved the onsite gym and restaurant. The Cherry Grove Pier is also a great amenity attachment to hotel along with the attached Driftwood Bar and grill with delicious 🤤 food and drinks. Also a short walk to Bolinouyse grocery store. Will definitely be returning to great views clean rooms and great atmosphere 😁

We have stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The staff has been amazing. The facilities are amazing and clean, besides sand, but that is so be expected being right on the beach. My family and I have had to much fun and enjoyed our short vacation so much. The only “complaint” we have is some of the outlets didn’t work. The balcony door in the bedroom didn’t open but they sent someone up to fix that within minutes. All around it was an amazing stay!

We stayed in room 1717 and we had a few issues with some of the appliances and the appearance of the door for the entrance of the room was a bit off-putting. But I will say overall the hotel was really clean, the staff was super nice and very helpful, they have multiple pools with an Italian ice/ice cream cart and bar/grill down by the pool along with a gift shop. Area is great if youre going down to just hang around the hotel and relax on the beach!!!!! Still a tone of beach shops to get some gifts at, grocery store is less than 3 miles away, plenty of food spots, beach was clean and not too too crowded, traffic in that area is slim to none, so overall i really liked my stay here!!!!! Will more than likely be coming back 😁

I would highly recommend this location.
The staff was so considerate.
The in-house restaurant was really delicious. Also affordable. The first.
Night we had. Steak for dinner. They were running a special. I think it was around $16.
Per person we all know with the economy. The way it is, you cannot eat at McDonald's for that so.
Thank you to the Baywatch restaurant staff and resort. Our room was very clean and tidy. Everything had a place and was useful. The view was spectacular. Definitely. We'll be visiting again if there is any downfall to the entire vacation.
I would say the codes are a little overwhelming. Especially if you are having a few adult beverages LO.L, by the last day we were told that we could shorten the code which made entry much easier.
But all in all this is a five star experience

We had a lovely stay at your oceanfront condo in Bay Watch Resort! The booking process was simple and check-in/check-out was smooth, which made everything stress-free from the start. The condo was clean upon arrival and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the ocean and pool views from the balcony — absolutely beautiful and relaxing!
We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen essentials provided. Just a heads-up for future improvements — only two of the stovetop burners worked, so it was a bit tricky cooking full meals. Also, we did notice a slight draft in the unit and saw a couple of small bugs, but nothing major.
One challenge we ran into was the elevator situation — with it being a holiday weekend, wait times were long and one of the elevators was out of order in both the condo building and garage. Still, we appreciated the communication and overall experience. Thank you for hosting us! This was a very affordable beach-cation, and we’d definitely will revisit.

Tower 1, Room 1102. 6/30/25 - 7/5/25
Opon arrival we noticed the living room chair was broken. Finally after contacting the resort and Vacasa several times, it was removed 3 days later. NOT replaced. The sofa cushions were also worn out. The rail in the front hurt your legs. I sat in my bag chair in the living room for 5 days. The sofa had food on top of it, it wasn't cleaned. The jetted tub stopped working until maintenance came and fixed that with a breaker issue. The washing machine broke and it flooded the floor, so we were without that also for 3-4 days. The kitchen counter had a huge break in it. We liked the resort itself. Was a nice place to stay. Staff was really nice and helpful. Pools where really nice. Not really over crowded like I thought it would be with such a big resort. With all the issues within this unit we wouldn't book again. When you go on vacation you expect no issues. A lot of hassle this week after spending over 2k on a 5 night stay. Especially when your promised some kind of refund but keep getting the run around. Think twice about booking with this owner/resort. Pictures are posted as well.

The unfortunate stay here at Baywatch.

Went to check in at 4pm as stated for check in time. Room was not ready till after 5pm. Smoke detector in room went off at 3am bc of low batteries, called front desk wasn’t changed till we couldn’t take it anymore the following day at 3pm. We had to change the battery our self which was fine least it fixed the issue. Shower curtain had blood and mold on it, called front desk and left a new one outside the door and never picked up the bloody shower curtain to dispose of till 2 days later. Also by 6pm last night we had absolutely no hot water not even warm and into the night at 2am still no hot water. We packed up and left at 2am. Couldn’t take it anymore.

I feel either it’s lack of help or lacking within the help? I unfortunately after years of booking here will be finding elsewhere to stay on our next vacation. I will miss the beautiful views.

Room was clean, the resort itself is constantly being cleaned throughout the day. Every room has a private balcony. Many indoor and outdoor pools, some heated, some not. Many hot tubs and even a heated lazy river. 2 on-site bars/restaurants located at the end of ocean blvd, so there's no through traffic. Will definitely be going back.

This place is absolutely disgusting!!!! Bugs were everywhere in our room! We told them at the front desk about the bugs and they told us to stay in the room and they will have an exterminator out in the morning and wanted us to leave for 4 to 6 hours. We said absolutely not! Checked out and went to a clean hotel. Now they won’t refund our money even though we have video and pics of the bugs everywhere… do not stay here unless you want this filth in your home! Bed bugs or roaches will travel home with you! This place has been nothing but a problem trying to get refunded. Absolutely disgusting DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Resort is right off the ocean, very convenient to get to. Rooms are very nice and stocked with the necessities. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of things to do close by, which makes it a great place to stay with family. The pools and hot tubs were amazing, also had an indoor lazy river. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: -Pools were perfectly heated for the season (we took a weekend trip in March), -Clean room, beautiful views, thoughtfully stocked.
- Loved ease of access to all pools which connected w/ one walk way from tower to tower.
-My children also loved the free DVD rental & ice cream.
- Special ticket promotions made our stay such a value.
- Buffet in the cafe was super yummy with friendly staff.

Cons: Parking is paid if you can not fit in the parking deck, and limited parking passes are issued. Pass code was quiet lengthy to get into the room.

Take Away: Family-friendly resort with wonderful amenities. Would love to stay here again. Great location and so much fun!

Been here for three days and have been coming here for over ten year's. Absolutely the worst experience ever. Key Pad has malfunctioned since day one with no solution. We have to have someone from the Front Desk to let us in our room. Jason the manager has been great. Just should not have to wait every time to get in your room. We will never visit here again.

Loved this hotel! Very kid friendly, only bad down side is if you need more trash bags or towels you have to go way to front desk for more, I'm use to housekeeping dropping that kind of stuff off and the front desk is a long way from rooms (they only gave us one trash bag for kitchen trash) Also parking is not the greatest. Deck is way across the street, they also need more handicap parking. Our balcony room door would not open as well, sign was on the door saying please don't open which was a bummer. Otherwise hotel was nice

Surprisingly I thought this was a nice hotel. The rooms were nice. I didn't like the fact I was in a conjoined room. I didn't complain and just went with it. If I was alone, I may have switched rooms.

The bathroom was nice. I just wished the soap holders were in the corners and not the middle of wall. I kept bumping my elbow on the highest one.

The walk to the elevator was very long due to one elevator in the main building and we had a room all the way on the other side. I didn't get a ocean front room so I can't speak on that. Parking was fine.

Overall I would stay here again. Wish they had continental breakfast instead of the resort pushing you to buy a timeshare.

Beautiful resort. Rented a one bedroom and it was very spacious with Full kitchen. Get up early to see some amazing sunrises! The only downside is the 10-digit key code you need to enter the rental. These are a pain, take a photo of the code and don’t leave the room without your phone.

A few friends and I stayed here for a week and it was nothing but fantastic. The room was very clean and we did not see any problems anywhere. It is a tad outdated, but that does not make it worse by any means. The pool was super clean and fun to be in. There are three pools, one inside and two outside. All of them were really nice to sit out by if the ocean was too much for the day. The nightlife is literally a 1 minute walk out of the hotel so it was super nice to be able to go out and be so close to our hotel. All the staff was super helpful and quick in getting my deposited back. We will be staying here again!! Great job. Ocean Drive Resort!!

I would not go back here. This was our first time staying here and our last. We booked Ocean Front room with king bed. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. Not sure if they need more employees or what. When we first arrived it was prior to check in time. The older woman at the desk was not rude, but not friendly either. Our rooms was not ready and she told us to come back later - which was fine, she told us nothing of the services or amenities. We came back later in the day and we had a much younger guy. He checked us in and gave us the pool bracelets & parking pass and wifi password. That basically was all the was said. The room was ocean front & it did have beautiful view. Bathroom was extremely small. Shower - I am 5'3 1/2" and had to duck down to take a shower. Room looked fairly clean. No extras - no extra pillows, no blanket - no luggage rack for suitcase. 4 coat hangers, and safe that looked like it was glued in cabinet. 1 bag of coffee. The sliding glass door for balcony didn't even have a lock to lock. I looked and though it might be stuck due to salt air - but there was not a mechanism in it. Looked like someone took it out. That was the best the room was. The next day I asked if they had housekeeping, as I am the type of person who likes my bed made everyday and room cleaned. I have stayed in placed that told us no housekeeping, just fresh towels daily - and that was fine - I would make bed myself and clean up, such as sweep myself. I was told that they did have daily housekeeping, but it was usually early afternoon. I said that you, and moved on. Well in the 5 nights that we were there, our bed was made once. Floor never swept, to the point sand was in the bed, as the sand from the floor. We received fresh towels once. One time they took dirty towels and didn't give clean ones back. More coffee twice. Trash was random, some cans were empty and some were not. I actually saw the housekeeper in the hall one day and she asked if I wanted services/towels. I said yes, and the room cleaned and bed made - She told me point blank - she doesn't make the bed. Still trying to figure out what she did do. That day we received the fresh towels - that was it. I usually leave $5 a day for tip as I usually pretty much clean up after myself & husband anyway - I was like you don't make bed, I don't leave tip. This was the first time in my life that I did not leave tip for housekeeping.

The restaurant. The food was good - Drinks were not. I order vodka & soda with lime. It was the weakest drink I have every had in my life. Tasted like flat soda water.

I have stayed at condos and other resorts & pools are always cleaned daily. I did not see the pool cleaned once the entire time. The dirt (sand pile) at the bottom of the pool just kept growing. There was storm one night and tree branches & a bunch of leaves were in the lazy river and no one ever took them out.

Booked an ocean front room for 2 nights on Expedia. The picture given us showed a room with a full ocean view. Walked in and on our left was the reception desk. The young girl with long black hair in a pony tail and an older guy behind the reception counter just stared at us. NO greeting!!! We approached the girl to check in. She asked for ID from my wife, took the ID and made a copy without telling her. My wife asked why she copied it; if that was secure to do that because of the potential risks, like identity theft. The girl got defensive and said it's the hotel's policy.
The icy desk processing continued. Apparently the girl was in a bad mood. No professionalism what so ever.
We got our room keys and asked her where the elevators were since it was our 1st time there. We went to room 421 and opened the door to a very strong smell that resembled marijuana. We then were extremely surprised to look out our balcony to see the trunk of a huge palm tree and it's palms and NO ocean! We booked an oceanfront.and paid $600 for 2 nights. It wasn't what was advertised.
Immediately, my wife went back to the ICY reception counter and asked for a different room, one with an oceanfront view that we booked. The older guy who identified himself as Hank
said "That's what you get when you book through a third party (Expedia) and if we were to book directly with the hotel, they would have made sure we had an oceanfront room, and to take it up with Expedia!!!! WOW! We called Expedia, explained everything as it happened, and was refunded the 2 nights. Excellent customer service from Mohammed at Expedia. Shame on you hotel staff! You had a chip on your shoulder from the moment we walked in. No problem. We'll gladly take our regular family trips to Myrtle and stay anywhere but Ocean Drive Beach.

We've been staying at Ocean Drive Beach & Golf Resort for many years. We enjoy a hotel directly on the beach within walking distance to Fat Harold's, Duck's, Hoskin's Restaurants & Flynn's Irish Pub. The front desk staff is always friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself could stand to be updated. This year, our king room only had 1 lamp & 1 nightstand. The pictures of the rooms on-line are not true representations of the rooms. We've always enjoyed HOTO's for a drink or a bite to eat. This year, we were met with a screaming, over-bearing waitress who demanded we see a hostess for seating on the outside patio. We were not eating but simply passing through to the outside where the Swinging Medallions were performing. The outside tables had not been bussed and there were only a handful of people at one table. We explained we were not staying and we were not eating. Suddenly, she appeared with a young woman who stated she was the manager. We explained the same thing to her. We were simply standing there before taking our drinks outside. That young manager began to scream obscenities (the F word flew out of her mouth as she flapped and waved her hands and arms). She wouldn't stop screaming. The older waitress came out and had to manhandle the manager by wrapping her arms around her as she dragged her back inside the bar. That was truly the last straw for us. We were paying guests at the hotel. We'd overlooked the quality of the room. We will not overlook the foul mouthed unfriendly staff in the restaurant. We are over 65+ and we do not have to put up with such behavior from anyone. No one should. Management should review the security video from HOTO's outside area for Thursday, 6/12/2025 between 6:30-7:15PM. After the hostess was removed from the patio area, several people from the crowd outside, walked into the outside area and seated themselves. We wondered if they were shown the same behavior as paying hotel guests. I'm still shaking my head over the downhill slide of such a nice oceanfront location.

I was lucky enough to get this room last minute because someone canceled. As soon as I walked in, the front desk was very welcoming, and the check-in was quick. The rooms were clean, and the view was amazing. I did not get the opportunity to go to the restaurant because I chose another place, which was a mistake. The pool was nice, and jacuzzi worked. The only problem was smoking from the balconies. It comes in your room and ruins the day.

We had alot of space and had a Large Balcony. The only thing that was hard on Me was the Bed & pillows, alot of people like hard/Firm mattresses but I definitely need a Soft/Bed and pillows. Overall I Love Staying here Everytime We Come down to the St. Patty's Day Festival as well as Our Anniversary

Other than the fact that the room next to us had a guest who was hard of hearing and we could hear his conversations thru the door we had a great stay here. Our room was very nice, extremely clean, and our fridge and heater were quiet in operation. The ocean view was spectacular from the fifth floor and our balcony was an added pleasure. Lots of light yet still plenty of privacy. There was no continental breakfast provided but perhaps because the attached restaurant was booked. There was coffee in the room that you could brew. Can’t wait to return!

Excellent hotel. We stayed here mid winter. Front desk was very accommodating and friendly! Rooms were very very clean. Small, but clean. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and personable. Great experience! We will return when we can enjoy the beach more!!

I honestly can not believe the price of this place. Run down, probably 30 year old carpet, and unfriendly front desk people. The AC/heater unit’s noise level was equivalent to a jet landing, and the provided pillows felt I was trying to put Mount Everest behind my head. I will be staying elsewhere next time.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times but that was about ten years ago, I just got back after staying there once again and I must say it has really went down hill bad, like having to ask practically every day to get the room serviced, ant infestation at the pool, black mold everywhere, neither hot tubs not working, patio door was dragging and extremely hard to open or close and I honestly don’t think it’s possible to buy cheaper toilet paper and I could go on …. I will never stay there again, it’s sad because it used to be a nice place to stay.
If the owners read this, my advice is to invest in your business, because you’re clearly not doing now !

Beautiful views. That's about the end of the good though. Some rooms are privately owned and some are time share. Mine was a privately owned so I can't speak to the others. But the entire tower has two elevators. 16 Floors with two elevators is a nightmare. Plan on waiting in a long line to get an elevator. No buggies for luggage. It seemed they only had a couple for the entire place. So bring a wagon to haul your luggage to the long line for the elevators. Staff were OK. My room was dirty, some lights didn't work, and everything is very outdated. Pictures will be added.
Interior of the rooms were outstanding. Our beds and bed linens were great. The TV in the main bedroom quite working after the first day. The exterior has quite a bit of deferred maintenance & they were installing a roof on a portion which was loud at times. There’s no daily house cleaning but we’re informed that if we requested house keeping they would do it, this was not the case. We requested housekeeping mid week and were denied. The lack of towel service at the pool was also a disappointment. We wound up buying towels to take to the pool. The beach bar closed too early and there was lack of food options at the pool to get food you had to go upstairs into the hotel. The walkway to the beach was overgrown with vegetation which made passage single file only. The location was pretty good it’s on the southern end of North Myrtle Beach we prefer to be closer to North Myrtle Beach where you can walk to restaurants, stores and live entertainment. Overall it’s was ok but I would expect more for the money we spent.

Overall experience was just okay. The front desk people were more than helpless. We could barely hear them speak and they offered no information. We checked into our oceanfront room and it reeked of cigarettes. Mind you, they have you sign three different forms stating that you will not smoke in the room or on the balcony. They refused to change our room due to not having anything available so they say. They offered us nothing other than a refund and to find somewhere else to stay. We stayed because we checked in later in the evening, and sucked up the smelly room. The room layout is nice and the amenities made the stay enjoyable. Being on the North end of MB was well worth it, as the beach wasn’t crowded and it’s not even a full mile walk to Barefoot Landing to eat and shop.

This is a great location and this was our second stay at this hotel. Our first stay we had a nicer room. The second stay the room was very run down. It needed work. However, the location is perfect, multiple pools, bar on site, easy walk to the beach and kid-friendly areas so you can't beat that. Pool area was never over-crowded, I just wished people would rinse off before getting in the pool after being at the beach. There was always a gross film on top of water at the pool. Therefore my kids didn't really want to get in!

We were super happy with this hotel. Super clean and with a great balcony with beautiful ocean views. They had a few pools, one was heated and even had a great bar. All the pools and whirlpools were super clean, they really take care of keeping everything clean! The lazy river looked nice but was a little cold in April for me. Amber at the front desk was very welcoming. The only complaint is it's supposed to be smoke-free and occasionally I could smell smoke where we could not sit out on the balcony. We would definitely return back to this nice hotel.

This was our first time staying at the Beach Cove. The location was great. We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment in the 11th floor for 3-nights...but, It was not properly cleaned when we arrived. There was a funky smell when we walked in and the air conditioner had not been turned on. There was a broken TV left out on the kitchen counter. There were linens left in the dryer. The floors were very dirty. Inside the refrigerator freezer was nasty with spilled food and some food left in it. The refrigerator smelled like crab legs were still in it. One of the chair legs was broken. The bathrooms were very small and all the appliances were very out dated. So I spent the first hours there cleaning and mopping the room. The wall outlets were very loose and anything you plug in, it kept falling out of the wall. At night the smell of smoke always spilled into our room like someone was smoking and it irritated my allergies.

Okay so where do I start??!!!
1.Upon checking in I was notified of a parking fee per day which is ridiculous because they have their own garage which should be included in the stay….
2. Nowhere on the website does it say I need to bring my own pool towels, I asked the front desk attendant about pool towels and she rudely told me I was supposed to bring my own I let her know that this was the 1st hotel I’ve stayed at down on the beach that didn’t provide pool towels which is a safety hazard with all the wet floors
3. The security kept walking around the pool harassing everyone about wrist bands
4. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard, you can also hear the springs when you sit down
5. For the amount of days we spent there, housekeeping should have been made available at least one day, especially when we aren’t given extra trash bags or any toiletries
6. The bathrooms are very very old. They look like a run down motel - definitely needs alot of work!
7. With an ocean front room, I expect to look directly at the ocean not sideways
8. On the website it says full kitchen, but it’s just a stovetop NO OVEN
9. The price dropped a good amount from the time I booked until the time I showed up but it was definitely not worth the money I paid
10. Some lady called the day before my arrival offering a complimentary stay and hotel bucks to attend a meeting but knew my reservation didn’t qualify because of the parties listed and still chose to call
11. Walking into the room, doing an initial inspection of the room I found a roach at the bottom of the stairs
I do not recommend this place to anyone, I did not enjoy staying here, I will not return to this hotel.

The security guards are rude at the pool asking about arm bands we know nothing about till later.Ice machine in room broken they did not offer the fix it ,told to pay $4 a bag near pool.
Bar and food area not open on Mondays need room key to get in.$250 deposit damage fee or $30 no refund.Resort fees each day and parking fee each day but no reserved parking. No housekeeping no broom had to ask.Too many chairs could not see ocean very well in room.High top table in living room making it crowded. Steps in room geesh we are seniors. Had Diamond departures call staying gifts and a meeting that we qualified by a Missy who evidently got our name and phone number from resort telling us about diamond departures company and we qualified.Got to meeting and was told no husband with us so no qualification nor gifts nor compensation.Totally interrupted vacation for nothing

We just had a retreat at this location 3 weeks ago and we had a wonderful time in there. Receptionist was very accommodating and very nice, her name is McKenzie, she helped us move our room so we can be closer to our friends and made sure that we were satisfied with the room. The resort was beautiful with multiple pools and clean. The tiki bar was closed during the time we were there. Rooms were clean and updated. I would definitely come back during warmer months so I would be able to enjoy all amenities

Stayed here during a softball tournament. The thick clumps of dust hanging off the ceiling fans in the lobby was clue 1. Our room was dusty, dated, and had mold in spots. 11th floor. It smelled so badly of marijuana and nicotine smoke I started getting a headache. I did inform the front desk. They said they’d call with another room but we never got the call. We truthfully didn’t want to risk the same experience in another room. So we left and went to another hotel. You know it’s bad when you don’t even care about getting money back…you just need to leave for fresh air. Got into our car in the leaky garage, laughed at the empty beer cans decorating the space, and left as quickly as we could.

Alisha at the desk took care of us!! Super friendly and helpful no matter the time of day or night! This place is right on the beach!! Lots of onsite amenities-restaurant, bar, game room, indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor bar, sauna, laundry room. Our room was less clean than I would have liked but it worked for me and we had a beautiful view of the ocean and the pools as well as sunrise!
So many pools! I should come back in summer to get the full effect. Theres plenty of parking, awesome room with a fully stocked kitchen (cookware), comfy beds, beautiful view, super hot sauna, and great beach walks right downstairs. Def stay here.

Our family just returned from a 3 night stay Friday-Monday I. Room 203 C tower. Front desk staff upon checking in was very nice and continued to be so throughout the stay. Parking was very easy and plenty of it. If you do have a taller vehicle you may need to park in a lower uncovered sandy lot. Heads up. For the game room, a lot of the games were not working and for the games that provided tickets no one was at the ticket counter even on the weekend. I understand off season and short staff but having a game counter open especially if you’re using the game room as a marketing pitch needs to be staffed and all games working. Pools were nice and the heated option was a plus. Definitely needed vacuuming. For the room. Some renovations have been made but I. Desperate need of a lot more. Our kitchen sink dropped constantly and the spare toilet ran the entire time. We had fire sprinkler dropping out of the ceiling as well which we prayed we never hit. Over all the hotel is nice, room was very clean, but needs lots of work. For what we paid I would of looked elsewhere if I known this ahead of time.

Great views and a good location. Rooms were nice and clean, but the cookware in the kitchen was not the greatest. A great place for those who like the high-rise beach life, but for someone used to more quiet and fewer people, not the best spot. The hotel pool area is very nice. The elevators can be hellish depending on the time of day.

The room had a musty smell and needs upgraded furnishings. Expected the room to be a wow, considering the price, which I thought was high even during the season. You're paying for the ocean view, it's spectacular! The pool area was the best part, and the staff overall is very nice, especially Morgan, server at the pool. Overall I thought it was too pricey, on value I'd rate it, 3-star out of 5.

The rooms have great views. The rooms are all in need of refreshing and basic maintenance. There are holes in the carpets. The sliding glass doors did not work. Light bulbs needed to be replaced. Shower fixtures were dangling. The common area trash room needs to be cleaned much more often. The pools were great and the location was good.

This place was fantastic. They upgraded us to THE Bridge and I felt like we were rich for a week. The view was amazing, The pools were outstanding. The suite was clean and amazing! The service great! I had a blast! We walked the beach crabbing at night without 1mill people being present. We stayed in the same suite Jordan stays in when he's in town. We're coming back.

So first let me start by saying Carrie in maintenance is amazing!. Give that lady a raise. Secondly, the older gentleman that works in the parking lot is terrible. If he doesn't like his job, maybe he should retire already. I have a lifted Tahoe on large wheels and he would not let us park in the oversized parking. Then he proceeded to throw the rope when I told him that we would not fit under the parking garage so it was a whole thing. Also the lady that owns condo 606 is a terrible host. Maybe she should look into selling if she's that concerned with the thermostat being left on 74° and her guest being uncomfortable. She had the thermostat locked so we could not adjust the temperature to what made us comfortable and she would turn it up and down like it was a game that got very old very quickly. We had to go out and buy fans the first night because it was set to 74° and it was 75° inside the room and we paid a whole lot of money to stay here to be so uncomfortable. The hotel in itself is very beautiful. The staff up front tried their very best to help take care of our situation with the air. It was our first time here but our friends that were vacationing with us have stayed at this place several times and they always gave it such great reviews and so we were expecting so much better than what we got. My two cents at the end of the day is don't stay in room 606 unless you like your room to be at least 75° in 90° weather outside and drive a compact sedan so you and the old man in the parking lot don't have any problems.

The room is not clean. The carpets are very old. There is smell of marijuana everywhere. Not what I was expecting. Walls dirty. Smells like mildew old carpets. I would not waste your money here. We will not be back. No one on staff can tell you anything. A big DISAPPOINTMENT.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Villa. Had everything we needed. Very clean. Comfortable King bed. Free parking in front of our Villa. Quick free shuttle to the pools. Outdoor bar and hot tubs were nice. Outdoor pools were ice cold but indoor heated options.

Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Not a ton of options for teens/kids. Area felt safe. Would stay again.

We enjoy coming to North Myrtle Beach Towers for our March Break vacation. The location is great; close to restaurants, shopping and Barefoot Landing. Beaches are nice and not as busy as on the main strip downtown. The rooms are large, spacious and great for our family. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the last 2 years there has been a lot of construction during our March Break, making the pool area loud and not enjoyable. The pools were not heated this year, the pool washrooms were blocked off, the main pool entrance was blocked off, and at times, the elevators to access the pool area were not working. Overall, the outdoor amenities were disappointing with many inconveniences. Check for construction and ask what amenities are open before you book.

Very pricey for the noise and comfort. Our team had several condos booked and I know atleast 6 of the condos complained of uncomfortable mattresses. The furnishings are old and outdated. There was some sort of construction going on to the Jasmine tower balconies and it was super noisy all week. We couldn't sleep in or enjoy our balcony during the day in Indigo for the noise. We have stayed at much cheaper locations the last few years with the same views but a lot more comfortable. The condos are a great size with so much potential. The grounds and pools look fantastic. The price and outside of the towers scream luxury. The actual condos....not so much. Great location with lots to do and walking distance to popular spots!

This is a beautiful resort. The views from every room were immaculate. It was amazing waking up to the ocean everyday. Also, I love the design of the towers. The reason I rated it 3 stars instead of 5 is because the condo we stayed in was not very clean. It was decent enough, but there were many things I noticed. The dining table wasn’t wiped down, there was a dead gnat in the soap dish in the bathroom, the table on the balcony wasn’t wiped down, and the carpet on the balcony looks like it never gets vacuumed. There were also areas where something was on it and somebody attempted to wipe it down but wasn’t thorough. My son attempted to get the “filtered” water from the refrigerator and while doing so, something feel out and into his water. Needless to say, we bought bottled waters.

Another thing I noticed is that the staff aren’t very inviting. They barely greet you and you can tell that it’s forced when they do. With the amount of money we pay to stay here, I expected the place to be top notch. It just didn’t live up to the hype because of the 2 things I mentioned.

I had some family come in town this weekend and they stayed at The Indigo Tower @ North Beach Plantation.
Everything was perfect. The condo and grounds were all immaculate. All the staff we encountered we're friendly and welcoming.
Chris from the front desk called to make sure we settled in and had everything we needed.
Over all it was a perfect experience at North Beach and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the are.

Pros: Right on the beach! Walking distance to a restaurant and beach gear shopping. Cons: ROACHES!! On multiple floors!! The lazy river is so tiny it only holds about 12 tubes. All of the hot tubs/kiddie pools we saw are filled in with concrete or lava rocks (so non existent). Our room door peep hole was filled with foil and door frame was busted up and poorly glued together. Wall picture frames were all busted up. Curtains had something that looked like chocolate or blood smeared on them. The kitchen cabinets were disgustingly. The website pictures were beautiful and very misleading. We were only there 3 hours and couldn’t take the dirtiness/poor quality. Our party and another random family were at the front desk requesting a refund due to roaches. Front desk staff was nice and checked us out…But ended up charging us anyway. We were stranded without a place to stay at 11pm. Still working with Best Western to get our $1200 back. Not happy. Their policy says no pets allowed, yet now they’re saying roaches aren’t a reason for a full refund. If you don’t mind roaches, dirt, and run down, then it’s a great beach front hotel. I would not call it a resort.

8-12-25 Update in response to the resort's response to my review: It's been 19 days since we checked in/out of the Best Western Resort. We have photos of the roaches in our room. Best Western has yet to release any refund to Expedia to refund to us. I have been on the phone with them multiple times and have gotten no where with any sort of refund.

The rooms are old and not in the best condition. The bathroom is small and outdated. Bring your own TP, rough and thin is what they supply. I was quite disappointed from the minute we pulled into the hotel. The lobby is not at all attractive or inviting. The carpet is old. The good is the bed and TV size. There were are no restaurants nearby. It’s just not somewhere you are excited about staying and the pictures are deceiving in many ways. If I thought I could have cancelled without losing money I would have done so. If you book here just understand it is a little below good on the scale,

My wife is rather picky when it comes to cleanliness. She usually inspects the place upon our arrival and ends up having to re-clean a good number of things. Not here...she was pleasantly surprised and if she is impressed that says a lot. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is ideal, parking is good, and we love the little private balconies. Great beach access and nice pools. Well done Best Western!

Loved our stay here! Room and grounds were clean and well maintained. Staff were all very friendly. Location was great! I will definitely be back…

I also want to mention their complimentary breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel that didn’t charge you from a menu style price. The ladies who ran it were very kind and they kept it up at a steady pace!

The room had a huge TV in it and the staff who cleaned the rooms were also very accommodating with anything we needed! There is also a small gym area for guests that was suitable for anyone who enjoys working out and is away from their home gym for a few days.

Great folks and great management! Kudos to their whole team!!

This was a very affordable and safe place to stay when I visited. I had an ocean front view. The staff was courteous even during a power outage. The room was huge and so was the TV! There were a few cosmetic things that I didn't like but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. The parking was adequate a located across the street. My room was near the elevator but it wasn't bad. I'm definitely staying here again when I come back to visit!

Worst best western breakfast I’ve had in lots of years. I’ve been to this best western numerous times and although it’s not close to anything really it’s got a great view. Now the 1 star is because I left my sun glasses and 2 pairs of sandals in the room and when I called to inquire the employee that answered said “I don’t see them and I have no idea where housekeeping is”. Didn’t offer to go look didn’t offer to ship them to me as other best westerns have done in the past I should also mention I’m a diamond rewards member I stay at a lot of best westerns very regularly so maid service that steals your things and employees that can’t handle simple tasks like going to look for over $500 of miss placed belongings with the don’t care at all attitude makes this the second worst best western I’ve ever been to second only to the one in sturgeon bay WI we will not return.

I read your response. If that’s true you should have my missing items in your lost and found and you should have contacted me by now!!! I’d gladly pay to have those things shipped back to me. I’ll gladly adjust my review if I’m contacted and my stuff is returned safe and sound.

The customer service at this hotel is beyond amazing. The lady who checked us in today was very helpful with anything we needed and greeted us with such kindness. She made us feel comfortable and cared for. The location is also perfect. We were given a beautiful view with ocean view. We can walk out to the beach any time we want. This vacation is even more relaxing that what we anticipated. A big thank you to the whole hotel team. Housekeeping was also very thorough and fast, we were able to check in early which was wonderful as well. We also had issues with our keys at first, the front desk immediately helped reprogram our keys and instantly sent an engineer to ensure our lock was correctly working. Our needs were met very quickly and efficiently.

We had to switch rooms upon check in. The customer service is very good. The staff were friendly and attentive and heard our concerns. We called ahead and were told not under construction but it appeared to be a few areas needing attention. The sir seemed to be controlled, No critters present just a bit of mold spots on lamp shades from water damage affecting my allergies. I enjoyed the breakfast and was certain to tip daily. The parking was convenient and no problems, staying off the beach was easy access. The price is affordable and any request were accommodated. Sheets , towels etc;

Recently stayed here, beach side. We loved every minute of being here. Staff friendly and helpful. While it seems to be an older hotel, the room was clean, the property clean, the pools clean. My only maybe negative comment would be bathroom door, I feel should be a slide door to give more room in the bathroom, but I want that comment to be a comment and not a complaint. Shower was amazing! Great pressure always hot water. Building was being update/worked on during our stay and that was not an issue workers were clean and never in the way. We absolutely have no problem staying here again. We unfortunately did not go for breakfast (our fault not hotel) but walked in the day we left and all looked good area very clean. Thank you for the great service.

A great beachfront view if you don’t mind sharing it with roaches! Sinks and showers that don’t drain at all and finding random dirt/hair left from the previous people who stayed everywhere are just some of the problems that my teammates have encountered only by our second day of staying here. My teammates have had two roaches in two separate rooms and one of their beds also had a bed frame that was completely shattered at the bottom upon arrival. Whoever the manager/review warrior that’s responding to these comments saying ‘all we see is a great room with beachfront view’… you’re funny but PLEASE take the multitude of roach related comments seriously. Hotel is in major need of a renovations.

On a good note though the staff has been absolutely lovely and welcoming though the facilities aren’t up to par with their hospitality.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, and it wasn't great. The building is very old, and there was a mouldy smell everywhere. The bathroom was badly designed, very small for 4 people staying and the shower didn’t work well. The cleanliness wasn't up to Best Western's usual standards, and the kitchenette was very old. Microwave didn’t work at all. The best part was the beautiful beach view and the great breakfast. The photos shown were way different from the room we stayed. Overall disappointed.

The pictures are a little bit, deceiving, but the staff was wonderful and super nice. The view is just as amazing as it looks in the pictures. The building itself is a little outdated, the rooms could be a little bit cleaner, but honestly, it’s nothing to be angry over or complain about. The breakfast definitely surprise me in a good way. They have an indoor and outdoor pool so you don’t have to be worried about the weather. Breakfast, they have biscuits and gravy, toast, eggs, waffles, ham cereal, yogurt, and fruit

The rooms were nice. The oceanfront view is amazing. I don’t like having someone fix my buffet plate. It was a major nuisance. I didn’t bother with breakfast after the first day. The business needs a parking garage. People double park under the building and you have to walk across the street to get from your car to your room. The parking under the building is too tight anyways.

We stayed at the Ocean Sands for the first time and really enjoyed our time there. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was great. We reserved a king bed room and were upgraded to a larger room. It was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was a little confusing on the first day but we got it figured out after that and always were able to park close to our room. We will definitely stay again.
