However, after dinner we decided to take some pictures in the lobby and were told by hotel staff we were not allowed to do so and needed to “wrap it up” before security told us to leave. It put a stink on our night. Never have I had hotel staff tell me I couldn’t take pictures. We were good enough to spend a grand at dinner but not good enough to take pictures in the lobby?
At approximately 1:30 a.m., I went to the front desk to report that I had been bitten while sleeping in my room. The front desk associate offered to switch my room; however, I expressed that I would feel more comfortable checking out at that time. I then inquired about possible compensation and was advised that this could not be addressed until speaking with a manager, who would not be onsite until 7:00 a.m.
Given the circumstances, I agreed to switch rooms, though I was unable to sleep due to concern and discomfort.
At 7:00 a.m., I returned to the front desk requesting to speak with the manager, who was identified as Nichola. Instead of being directed to the manager, I was approached by security personnel and asked to provide a report regarding the incident. I found this response unexpected and initially declined. After subsequently speaking with Nichola, she reassured me that the matter would be addressed appropriately. At that point, I complied with the request, provided a report to security, and forwarded photographic documentation of the bite(s) to Nichola (photos attached).
While I was ultimately compensated for the cost of the room, this resolution does not account for the allergic reaction I am currently experiencing, medical-related expenses, the exposure to potential bed bugs, or the ongoing concern regarding the possibility of inadvertently transporting bed bugs to my home.
This experience was extremely distressing and fell well below reasonable expectations for guest safety and care. I am requesting further review of this matter and appropriate consideration for the health, inconvenience, and anxiety caused by this incident.
Rooms were gorgeous...a bit small relative to the price and compared to their competitor down the street. But this was more than made up for by unbeatable location within the city, and also literally on the water.
I had a first floor room which feels very exposed to the harbor (in both good and bad) but I am pretty sure the privacy shade worked entirely but you definitely feel a bit exposed. Courtyard rooms I think I would not be comfortable with, almost to the point of not wanting to stay here whatsoever. The hotel is a rectangle, with an interior courtyard, so interior rooms are facing directly across the courtyard into other rooms. The courtyard is moderately sized but if it were a nice summer day there would certainly be people able to look in. This is notable for the first floor terrace rooms (which bizarrely are the most expensive courtyard rooms, separated only by privacy shrubs).
Otherwise nice stay and would recommend it again. Would be nice if it had a fridge, a slight bit more attention to sound deadening and small maintenance issues, again especially given the price but overall good stay.
A huge thank you to Kat Roberts, our Event Manager, who guided us on our tour and ensured every detail of our wedding was flawless. She was incredibly attentive and made sure the day went off without a hitch, with all of our guests cared for.
I also want to give a special shoutout to Terrance and Dakota from the bell team. We had so many items for the wedding, and they made the unloading and loading process seamless.
Thank you to the entire team at the Pendry for making our wedding weekend truly magical.
Special shout out to Philip - He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Gorgeous hotel, incredible service, and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Highly recommend!
I have had better experiences at cheaper hotels
1. Theres no business center or anything to use the conouter to print anything.
2. The outlets in the room aren't even updated. Nobody uses USB A cords anymore. For the price, there should be updated USB C outlets.
3. The parking is kinda ridiculous. I had to walk 2 blocks down tbe street to use a garage, and I have a handicap tag.
4. Most cheaper hotels ive been in, at the VERY LEAST had continental breakfast. Some even having hot breakfast.
You have to order and pay for breakfast here?
5. The terrace was nice, but could be nicer. There was a lot of mosquitoes biting me up. Nothing they can do about that I guess.
6. The chairs on the terrace patio outside our door are dirty, and extremely uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in.
7. The terrace is very noisy. Wish it was a little more peaceful. I could hear everyone's conversations, including one where a man said he could see into everyone's windows and did his buddy want to go look in windows.
8. The shower head is AWFUL and dirty.
9. Oh, half the lights also werent working. And I am allergic to the Shampoo. Idk why they need such strong fragrance shampoo.
For $500 a night, you could have designated parking, updated outlets, clean and comfy chairs, a decent shower head, a printer
I am very disappointed and will go back to Holiday Inn, and Hilton.
A few things I would note, these did not damper our trip but would be been good info.
1. Pool hours were unclear, and we missed out.
2. BMW had the hotel blocked ( we were here with bmw, not a big deal) but closed the courtyard early as well.
3. BMW had the bar covered sat and Sunday, no one knew unless they walked in.
4. Joseph in the bar ( if memory serves me right on the name mildy taller, white hair ) was a bit off putting. Two separate times pass right by while either just sat down, or glass ( twice ) was empty and pushed forward, no acknowledgement.
5. We ordered the italian cold cuts and fruit plate.
I've gotten a better sub for 1/3 the price at speedway. They took one meat, four raw veggies, and tossed it on the plate
All else was wonderful !!
The grounds are stunning.. one of the most beautiful courtyards ever!
The location is key to lots of fun
bars/restaurants.
The pool area is also very nice!
I will definitely be back for another stay soon!
PS. shout-out to the nice gentleman at the front desk who gave me Tums late at night.. thank you!!
1. We asked for champagne to accompany our afternoon tea. We were told no. They were too busy and couldn’t accommodate guests asking for drinks outside the set menu. I have never heard of a hotel not wanting to serve champagne…
2. I was driving so I asked about the strength of the three tea based cocktails was. The server couldn’t tell me. He said it depends on your tolerance… that is not what the police would say I’m sure.
3. One of our party had booked a vegan tea. When it came she was given the wrong information and the wrong food.
4. I phoned in advance and asked about parking. I was told valet parking would be validated and it would be $20 for the whole afternoon. Not so. Turns out it was $28 and that was if we left within 90 minutes. If we exceeded that it would be $45. I did complain about this and was give the $28 rate.
5. The food was not exceptional or even excellent. Two of the three sweets were cookies. For an afternoon tea I expected a little more.
Overall what should have been a great experience was marred by little things. When you are each paying close to $90 (plus $28 parking) for the experience I would have expected to be better for this level of hotel.
⸻
I love this location for its vibrant energy and convenient proximity to everything. The rooms are nicely designed, but I did run into a plumbing issue—my shower wouldn’t drain, and after maintenance came, the room unfortunately developed a strong sewage smell.
There was a wedding happening at the hotel during my stay, which meant some amenities we were told would be available at certain times weren’t. Not a huge issue, but better communication from the staff would have made a difference.
Overall, while the space is lovely, I felt the service and amenities didn’t quite match the price point.
When arriving to valet parking, it would be nice for someone to take your bags to check in for you... even better would be to have them taken to your room for you. I would think for the price you pay to stay, that little bit of a courtesy would be standard.
Now, a little feedback about the awesome room with a beautiful view!
The stocked mini bar with snacks when walking in was nice! The bathroom is excellent, there's a private area for you to do your business in and then the rest was a huge shower with an abundance of water pressure which is rare these days! The soaker tub does accommodate the big and tall folk with ease, which is rare, just like the high water pressure!
Super comfortable king size bed, not too soft and not too firm... not too sure what to call it besides comfortable! Lots of drawer and cabinet space for your clothes, nice robes to relax in. You have floor to ceiling power curtains that open up to a private balcony with a nice view of the harbor, ballpark etc.
We decided to grab dinner at the Chop House inside the hotel. Porterhouse was delicious, but all I will say is order the Meatballs... they will not disappoint!
Beautiful Hotel, exceptional Staff and an overall Fantastic stay!
First, we were taken to the wrong room. Not a huge deal—they quickly corrected the mistake and moved our luggage. But when I called the front desk with a simple question about their shopping service, they had no answers, promised to call me back, and never did.
At dinner, we waited 40 minutes between our appetizer and main course. At breakfast, they brought me the wrong order. And when we checked out, the valet stood by and watched as I loaded everything into my truck—while three other staff members sat back.
I’m not high-maintenance, and I don’t expect perfection. But when you're paying for a luxury experience and tipping accordingly, the service should meet the moment.
May I suggest the staff read Unreasonable Hospitality?
A $200 bottle of prescription medication vanished from my room after housekeeping came through. I tore apart my luggage, the room—everything—for three hours, and it was nowhere to be found. The day before, it was sitting right next to a $5 bottle of Tylenol on the coffee table. The Tylenol was moved to the bathroom counter, but the expensive, controlled prescription medication? Gone.
I reported it to the front desk, and their response was beyond disappointing. They had housekeeping "check" the room (which, of course, turned up nothing), and that was that. No follow-up questions, no effort to address the situation—just a shrug and a "sorry, have a nice trip" as I checked out.
For a hotel in this price range, I expected much better. More than the loss itself, it's the lack of concern that really left a bad taste. If this had happened at the Four Seasons, I have no doubt the response would have been more professional and considerate. Safe to say, I’ll be staying there on future trips—and advising my UK colleagues to do the same.
If you do stay here, I highly recommend using the in-room safe—or better yet, bringing your own security solution, since staff still have access to the provided safes.

With that said, I need to mention something I don’t see discussed much: the mattresses here are extremely unsupportive.
Just like my experience at the Conrad in Las Vegas, the bed at this Canopy property is a Serta Perfect Sleeper model made specifically for Canopy. It feels customized with cheaper foam and a low coil count, which means it sinks in deeply and breaks down quickly under use. When I sat on the bed, it felt more like lying in a hammock than on a supportive hotel mattress. After 180+ hotel nights this year, across many brands and price points, this unfortunately ranks among the least supportive mattresses I’ve slept on, and even more budget Hilton brands like Hampton Inn and Doubletree have way more supportive mattresses. This isn’t a soft vs plush vs firm preference, but simply a lower-quality mattress likely built with cheaper materials and a lower coil count. In looking at the rest of the room, it honestly looked like the decorative bathroom slider door probably cost more than the mattress.
To be clear, staff was kind and accommodating, and I enjoyed my stay otherwise. But if you need proper back support or tend to notice mattress quality, this is something to be aware of when booking. The hotel has a lot going for it, but I just hope they upgrade the beds to match the rest of the experience.
We booked a reservation for 4 nights and chose to pay the premium price for this hotel due to the beautiful restaurant onsite and the location. We were excited for our stay.
When we arrived we learned they were under construction. There was no food onsite for the duration of our stay - which was 1) not communicated ahead of the stay and 2) very inconvenient for my husband who was working all day from the hotel and would have preferred to take short lunch breaks at the onsite restaurant. This was half the reason for us booking.
If that was the extent of it, I would've chalked it up as just bad communication and taken the loss.
However, When we arrived they were actively painting the ceiling by the elevators and in order to reach our room, we had to step on the drop cloth covered in paint and navigate past the men on ladders. I got paint on my shoes and paint dripped on my arm on the way to elevator.
We stayed on floor 10 and the entire floor had been recently painted and the walls were lined with plastic.
I'm pregnant and the paint fumes were overwhelming and gave me a headache to the point where I ended up staying with a friend locally while my husband stayed at our hotel. The banging went on night and day and it made his working experience very tough as well.
This absolutely should have been communicated as this environment was dangerous for a pregnant woman and just very uncomfortable for folks in general. I'm really disappointed in Hilton and I would never recommend this hotel to a friend due to the high price and terrible communication and unwillingness to shut down for renovations and instead inconvenience your guests.
I stayed for five nights while attending a work conference, and everything was excellent. The staff was amazing, the hotel was clean, and I had no complaints. Highly recommend!
Even the standard rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and felt like new — super clean and well-maintained.
If you’re considering a place to stay in Baltimore — or looking to set up a room block for an event — I highly, highly recommend this property. The service alone makes it stand out, and the location and views are just the cherry on top.
Also great was the contracted out valet parking service (metropolis.io). Another special shout out to Michael, who was just wonderfully pleasant and helpful.
Robert and Michael are models for what the hospitality industry worker should be!
Beds are decent. Bathrooms are clean but nothing fancy.
Service can improve! Check in woman could have been nicer. No upgrades for diamond member.
They never picked up the phone so unable to request food or service from our room. No access to the parking next door (which is by the way a bit too pricey) was a bit annoying but no big deal.
Value for money was ok considering the location and views.
Thank you for hosting us.
Valet staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy and staff was also friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed. The balcony is a very nice touch. The room was clean and has all that a hotel room would need. The walls are thin as I can hear the conversation next door pretty clearly and they weren’t talking loud.
The location is excellent. Walkable to several restaurants within a 10 minute distance (Harbor East neighborhood). Area felt safe and allowed for a nice stroll.
Our roommate included breakfast and on checkout day we were looking to order room service from the restaurant within the hotel, Cindy Lou’s Fish House. I had trouble connecting to the front desk via the in-room phone so I used my cell phone to call. No one ever answered so I hung up and called back, choosing a different prompt. I was connected with a call center employee who also had trouble getting someone from the hotel on the line. Once she finally did, the quest to order room service didn’t get any better. I needed to be transferred to the restaurant to place the actual order. I was on hold and no one answered. I hung up and called the restaurant directly. It was then that I was able to place my order. It took 30 minutes to get to that point after multiple calls and holds. I would suggest making this process much more streamlined for guests ASAP.
Despite the food ordering ordeal I was told a late checkout beyond 11:30 am wasn’t available (regular checkout is 11 am). Everything prior to checkout day was fine, but trying to get room service while having to rely on hotel/restaurant employees to do so left a sour taste in my mouth. I would stay here again, but unless I plan on going to get food myself, I wouldn’t do room service again. The restaurant food was good though!
However the hot water never came back on the entire day and night.

This exquisite restaurant is a culinary haven, open for dinner and a sumptuous Sunday brunch. With its enticing culinary offerings and remarkable views, it’s a dining experience that’s not to be missed.
In summary, the Four Seasons Baltimore redefines luxury, offering an opulent stay in the heart of the Inner Harbor.
I’ll be honest: the first 30 minutes were rough. After settling into our cabin, we sat waiting with no sign of our server. Multiple attempts to flag down staff went nowhere, and we seriously considered leaving and asking for a refund (we’d prepaid!).
So why five stars? When our servers finally arrived, they were genuinely apologetic and determined to make things right. Sarah and Mellie didn’t just deliver good service after that—they went above and beyond with complimentary extras that completely turned the evening around. We went from frustrated to impressed, and ultimately left thrilled with the whole experience.
The food itself was excellent—hearty portions with careful attention to detail. The cocktails were expertly made and worth savoring. Yes, it’s expensive at $145 per person plus drinks, but I’d still recommend it. My wife was delighted (I’d kept it as a surprise), and despite the rocky start, the Four Seasons proved why they have their reputation by actually making things right when it mattered.
I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Ms. Destiny in the reservations department. She truly embodied the core values of the Four Seasons, especially “The Golden Rule” and “People First.”
Destiny was knowledgeable, transparent, patient, and kind the entire time. I probably asked the same question two or three times (lol), but she never once seemed irritated instead, she kindly repeated the information every time. That level of patience and professionalism is rare and very much appreciated.
Destiny, if you ever see this thank you! You made the booking experience smooth and enjoyable. Wishing you all the best. Go Ravens! 💜🖤🏈
We took the Lucid out for a little shopping, lounged poolside, and truly felt cared for every step of the way. The hotel delivered everything I love about the FS brand: luxury, comfort, and unforgettable hospitality.
Baltimore, you’ve set the bar high. We’ll definitely be back!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful — we received the royal treatment from start to finish. The staff were exceptional and truly made this hotel stand out. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with plenty of amenities.
My only minor complaint is that the pool had some brown algae stains on the bottom that should be addressed. Aside from that, everything was perfect. An excellent stay in a perfect location — highly recommend!
The hospitality and the friendliness from the staff are on another level. I have been to many hotels, but this Four Seasons in Baltimore was definitely a stand out.
My family and I were visiting during 4th of July, so there were a lot of people at the hotel. Regardless of how many people were there, it seemed to me the hotel was capable of handling large volume of people. The only downside was, the elevators took forever to arrive since there were so many people (10-15 minutes), but it is understandable.
The view from the hotel was spectacular. We had the premium harbor room overlooking the 'Domino Sugar', and it was the perfect view to watch the fireworks from our hotel room. The hotel even had a fireworks viewing party near the infinity pool overlooking the water.
We had the opportunity to use their hot tub and the pool the next day, and it was truly magnificent. The view from the hotel was fantastic and it felt as if we were in a different country.
Overall, fantastic hotel and I recommend staying here if you are visiting Baltimore. I would definitely return next year with my family.
Unfortunately, the hotel experience beyond the room was quite disappointing. The night I stayed, there were are least two conference events happening on the property, resulting in two of the hotel bars being closed for private events.
This was incredibly frustrating given that I had hoped to be able to just relax on-property that evening, and had figured I could count on a Four Seasons to provide a more than satisfactory experience in doing so. I spoke to someone at the front desk who assured me the restaurants were still open, but as a solo traveler it would have been nice to be able to enjoy bar seating. She then assured me the events would be winding down by mid-evening, so around 9pm I tried my luck again at “Bygone,” their elegant rooftop restaurant. Once there, I discovered that the conference attendees were still flooding the place, making it impossible to even get into the bar area, let alone find a seat. The noise level was off the charts. The crowd was rowdy. I finally gave up and found a nearby restaurant a few blocks away.
I understand that hotels host private events, but this should not come at the detriment of guests’ comfort. Whatever was going on that evening was excessive and inexcusable by FS standards. Throughout my entire short stay, the lobby was packed with people who weren’t staying at the hotel and generally getting in the way of paying guests. Again, constant noise and disruptive behavior. I expect better at this price point, and hope that going forward hotel management will be more mindful of the impact such events have on guests’ experiences.
The staff from arrival - departure went completely above & beyond to ensure I had the best birthday experience! They had a sweet set-up for my fur baby upon arrival + a cake waiting for me!
I loved the "welcome ceremony" at the spa as well as the sauna, steam room, and bath house. It was really the small touches that made the spa experience so special (champagne, the robes, a parting gift, etc.).
Having the Four Season app w/a concierge I was able to text with at any time for whatever I needed really blew my mind! I was able to order myself and my dog something to eat/drink (a separate menu just for pets? 🥹🩷) at any time (24/7 room service 🤌), and when I ordered or requested anything it was delivered within the hour!
I saw someone else say, "It felt like I was the only person staying at the hotel" is exactly my experience...this is PEAK HOSPITALITY!
It's been a few days and even though I only live 5 miles away I can't wait to go back for my next "staycation".
Totally blown away - thank you all so much for making us feel so pampered!
The location is perfect, overlooking the picturesque Inner Harbor. You have a myriad of dining and nightlife options within a 5 minute walk.
The spa is an experience in itself, with world-class massages and amenities. The wonderful staff at the Bygone on the 29th floor will make you feel special and the food is outstanding.
The staff are simply incredible. Polite, professional, and so kind. Everyone from the valet, concierge, reception, housekeeping, to the spa are simply wonderful.
The ice skating experience was literally the worst ice skating experience ever. The "ice" is like plastic boards which aren't cold and have no slide. It was like skating on a rubber board. Skates didn't glide because its not ice. I expected so much more out of a $35pp experience. Save your money and avoid.
The staff are nice. Great views.
From the moment I checked in, the hospitality was lacking. Despite presenting my AMEX with a name matching my reservation, I was unnecessarily given a hard time at the front desk simply because my booking was made on the same day. This unwelcoming treatment was not reflective of a luxury hotel’s service.
The most serious issue, however, was a complete lack of professionalism and respect for guest privacy. In the morning, I noticed there was no soap in the bathroom and called the front desk to request some. After waiting 45 minutes with no response, a staff member entered my room without knocking, walking in on my girlfriend and me in an intimate moment. Instead of handling the situation appropriately, he simply said, "I’m sorry" and left—without delivering the soap. This was a clear violation of our privacy, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and disrespected.
At checkout, I reported these incidents to the Director of Rooms, Cynthia Freshwater, expecting a serious response. However, her only reaction was a casual apology and an offer for an upgrade if I returned—an offer that completely disregarded the gravity of what had occurred. She also assured me of a follow-up via email, yet I never received any communication. This lack of professionalism and accountability is unacceptable.
This experience has permanently damaged my impression of the Four Seasons brand. A hotel of this caliber should uphold the highest standards of customer service, privacy, and professionalism. Instead, I encountered dismissive service, a lack of basic hospitality, and an alarming breach of guest privacy.
The staff were polite and courteous. I was thirsty after my massage, so I ordered a very pricey berry smoothie, which took them over an hour to create. The outdoor terrace was delightful and calming. Especially since a party was fairly loud in the "quiet-room". I gave my massage a 6 out of 10 for being too basic and overpriced. Even though the women's changing rooms featured some outdated, peeling furniture, the amenities were nonetheless clean. This Four Seasons did not meet my expectations for luxury.
After finally being rescued, management approached us to offer their contact information and promised follow-up. At the time, I was hopeful that this would be handled with the level of care and professionalism one would expect from a luxury brand. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I have since emailed the manager twice with no response. The complete disregard for my situation and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
As someone who has been a loyal customer of this Four Seasons location—frequently dining at their restaurants and utilizing other services—I am deeply disappointed by their failure to address this incident. Not only did this experience ruin my wife's birthday, but their indifference in the aftermath has made it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority.
This level of lack of care is disgraceful for a brand that claims to pride itself on luxury and exceptional service. If they can’t handle a major issue like this, it’s hard to trust them with anything. If they can’t even have the decency to respond to a customer who endured such a distressing experience on their property, it’s hard to believe they care at all about their guests.

Situated just 550 meters from John Hopkins University and a short drive from the bustling heart of downtown Baltimore, this charming hotel promises a stay that blends classic luxury with contemporary amenities.Whether you’re in the mood for seafood, international cuisine, or local flavors, the city’s vibrant dining scene awaits your discovery.
And let’s not forget the option of a balcony, allowing you to step out and relish the views or simply savor a moment of tranquility amidst the bustling city. This additional touch of luxury ensures that your stay at the Inn at Colonnade is not just comfortable but also extraordinary.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and an overall excellent experience.
The bed was extremely comfortable, and the feather pillows were amazing, some of the best hotel pillows I’ve slept on in a long time.
The restaurant was a mixed experience. Monday night was amazing, the chicken milanese was so good it had me craving it again and willing to pay almost $30 for it. Thursday night, same dish, totally different experience. Borderline acceptable at best, so I’m guessing different cooks. That one was disappointing.
The bar itself was fantastic, and the bartender on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights was absolutely amazing. She treated us exceptionally well and truly stood out. She also made the best Shirley Temple for our child, which ended up being her favorite part of the night every time. That kind of attention and kindness really made our stay feel special.
The pool was absolutely magical for our 5-year-old and was a big highlight of the trip. The only downside was the hot tub. No jets, so it was basically just soaking in a very warm bath.
Front desk check-in was… not warm and fuzzy. The staff member seemed like he hated his life, but honestly, who actually likes being at work. Other staff interactions were fine.
One concerning moment was Thursday when it was very windy. The whole hotel smelled like propane or some type of gas, which was a little alarming. No one died, so I assume it was normal, but still worth mentioning.
The shuttle to downtown Gatlinburg was super convenient and a huge plus. And best of all, we didn’t get attacked by a single bear.
Overall, a solid stay with some highs and a few quirks. We’d absolutely stay again, especially for the pool, shuttle access, comfortable beds, and that amazing bartender.
I stayed here during Covid and had a great experience. So we decided to stay here tonight.
We received our room, changed, and went straight to the pool. When we came back, there was a wet wash cloth behind the bathroom door. It did not belong to us. Long black hair everywhere and on everything and pubic hair EVERYWHERE. On the bathroom walls, shower walls, and the floor. I shared some of the pics, not all, because you get the point. There were dead beetles on the floor, which happens, but not super common for the 13th floor. I called the front desk to ask if our room had been cleaned as there was a wet rag, that didn't belong to us. She cut me off and said "They probably missed it." No apology or anything. "Uhm, ok. That worries me about the cleanliness of our room." "Uh huh. Have a great night."
Sooooo....the pool is great but the baby pool did have something suspicious floating in it. If we were at a motel, it is what it is. But for $253/night, we can stay newer or at least updated and nicer. We will be spending our money elsewhere. I'm so relieved I had chose somewhere else for the rest of the week.
But the major win is my teenager left his school laptop in the Kutzu to go play football with his bro-hams and Justin Benson at the front desk TURNED IT IN!! Now I did a tiny bit of cyberstalking and found this man on Facebook and offered a reward and he refused!!! Omg how can this be possible??? No clue, open your wallet man!!!
Ronnie (also front desk) helped me get my price adjustment and had a terrific sense of humor and quick thinking to help me out!
Had a quick smile and laugh with John the MOD to tell my stories of exceptional customer service
The rooms are all great, the pool makes the kids happy, the location if off the beaten path a tiny bit offering exceptional views, come one, come all and get your warm cookie
The facility was clean and beautiful and we especially enjoyed our own private patio (that every room had!).
The only thing that we didn’t care for was the parking. We felt it was not conducive to the needs of the hotel (and it was up a lot of steep hills, which got me at first).
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean! The elevators were very fast and easy to call them to a specific floor. Even with a lot of people in the hotel the first night, we still felt comfortable and like we had our own space.
Breakfast was very good, complete with a lot of choices!
I don't always write reviews for hotels, but this one is definitely a good one!
Checking in was a breeze, even though they were busy with a bunch of dancers, they all seemed pretty happy. They give you cookies when you get here too. That was great after a long drive. The Elevators are fast and that's definitely a great thing with the amount of floors. The room has plenty of room, especially if you were to need to put an air mattress down or a crib. It was clean and had plenty of towels for all of us. I'd like the room better without carpet but it's fine. Our favorite was the pool and the slides! The pool was very clean and not over chlorinated. It was pretty warm too. The snack bar there was great and the girl who was there was very nice. We had dinner at the restaurant our first night and my cheeseburger was great, juicy and medium like I asked. The trolley comes all the way up to this hotel and it's kinda of a trill going down the hill, those guys are awesome who drive them. We definitely saw bears up here and in the parking lot. Lock your cars they are smart.
I spoke to Amanda I believe it was, the front desk manager on 6/11/2025 at They gave me the runaround and made me call some call center so they could "approve" my reservation change. I wasted half my morning on this and apparently she could have done it on her end at any time, per the call center which I finally got ahold of. Then I got back on the phone with Amanda.
Apparently at any time she could have cancelled on her end and waived the fee in all of five seconds because that's what she did.
When I pointed out how frustrating this was, she gave me more runaround. I really think she has no idea what she's talking about and you need to train your staff.
Super weird that they made me waste an hour calling the call center.
I've never had any sort of problem with this at any other Hilton, Marriott, Choice, IHG, etc. Never once had someone do this. I've always had it be super easy "Yes, we can take care of that, sure, just rebook as normal." Done.
Not wasting an hour of my time to talk to a call center who tells me they actually have no idea what the hotel is talking about and it's all up to the hotel.
At a nice hotel things are supposed to go smoothly and this kind of thing affects how we view the hotel and the area.
I did the breakfastbar and everything was so good!
I did not like that the floors were not very clean that's pretty gross. There was quite a bit of left over long woman hair on the floors and I didn't feel comfortable enough to walk around bare foot. Glad I brought slippers! The hard flooring needs a good scrubbing!!
The towels had some lint/debree suck on them
Also wish there was a hand towel rack hanging by the sink.
Great customer service makes a world of difference. The right person can make you feel like a king or just “one more customer”. The hotel staff made you feel at home.
The rooms are dated and the sheets are worn but the atmosphere is nice. They even had a guy playing piano in the lobby while we ate dinner. He wasn’t all that good but he had gusto.
The food was surprisingly good and the views were pretty nice.
The views are amazing!
Great pool!
Now the bad;
Breakfast isn’t free. $17 for the exact same (free) breakfast you get at other hotels. Go to a local place (I recommend the Log Cabin Pancake House).
The overall condition of place feels old. In dire need of remodel (paint carpets…)
The bathrooms in lobby are bad. From missing latch on stall doors to peeling and dirty wallpaper.
The driveway getting up to the hotel is like a twisty roller coaster. I wondered if my poor car was gonna make it up.
They don’t have enough handicap accessible rooms and most are single bed.
Would I recommend this place? No. Get a room down in the valley. That way your in walking distance of everything. (There is a bus that comes up to the hotel and carries you down but don’t know it’s schedule)
