The staff is attentive and truly understands customer service; they will remember any plans you mention or go out of their way to find something out for you.
Her name has left me but the hostess that checked my boyfriend and I in was absolutely wonderful. She was full of life and very inquisitive in a way that didn't feel intrusive. We connected to her on a very genuine level as some of her experiences have mirrored our own.
I absolutely loved the measures they take to ensure no one is entering the hotel that doesn't have a reservation and that guests cannot go to different levels from the ballroom floor. That simple touch makes a wonderful difference.
All in all our stay at this Waldorf was a wonderful experience!
The level of service was consistently exceptional, and I want to specifically shout out Ron from valet—he was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth arrival and departure experience. Ron truly set the tone for the rest of my stay with his professionalism and hospitality.
Inside, the property is nothing less than stunning. Every corner exudes luxury—from the serene lobby to the spacious, well-appointed guest rooms. The attention to detail is clear, and everything felt incredibly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.
The bartenders at the hotel bar were fantastic—sociable, engaging, and clearly passionate about their craft. They helped create a lively, inviting vibe that made relaxing with a drink feel like part of the experience rather than just an amenity.
Every moment at this hotel reminded me why Waldorf Astoria is a name synonymous with luxury. I was treated like a valued guest throughout my stay, and the combination of attentive staff, serene ambiance, and five-star touches made it one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
If you’re considering a stay in Atlanta and want to be pampered from start to finish, the Waldorf Astoria Buckhead should be at the top of your list. I’ll absolutely be back.
The hotel is elegantly and tastefully designed. Our suite was magnificent - spacious, beautiful and comfortable with a massive and luxurious bathroom.
We enjoyed a wonderful brunch in their main restaurant.
The service was excellent throughout our stay. The staff were invaluable in arranging transportation for our group to the airport.
This is one of the most expensive hotels in the city, but there is a reason - their quality and service are unmatched.
A truly remarkable place!
Abdul from front desk was very helpful and the checkout process was fantastic thanks to that.
The lobby of this property is pretty small and the elevators are pretty slow. The gym is decent with many great equipments. The location is great and it’s next to the Marta and shopping malls.
The housekeeping service and the room cleanliness can be improved. We found the slippers bag left by the last guests at one side of the bed and turndown service was provided for only one person (we have two).
The first incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. while I was seated in a lobby sitting area, waiting on a high-profile client who was a guest at your hotel. A security guard approached me and asked if I was a guest. I respectfully explained that I was waiting on a guest, and he stated the area was closed. I politely left and relocated to the sitting area near the elevators, where I remained until my client came down. I also noticed he placed stations to block off the area shortly after.
Later, at approximately 6:00 a.m., I returned to the hotel after briefly stepping away. I poured myself a cup of coffee in the lobby and sat again near the elevators to wait for my client. The same security guard approached me and stated I could not sit there, and I must either go to the room or wait outside. When I questioned the reason, he cited hotel policy and inaccurately claimed I had been in the lobby all evening. I calmly corrected him, but he became visibly aggressive, stating repeatedly that he didn’t care who my client was, and I needed to leave.
Soon after, the night shift manager joined the conversation and supported the guard’s claim, adding that my presence might make other guests feel “uncomfortable” as they started coming down in the morning. When I stated that I would report the interaction, the guard replied dismissively, “I don’t care—maybe the report will get me a letter of recommendation.”
As a retired Chief of Police with over 25 years in law enforcement, I have encountered many situations requiring discretion, respect, and professionalism. What I experienced during my visit was none of those. I understand the importance of guest safety and vigilance, but this does not justify the disrespectful and hostile treatment I received.
I had the best sleep of my life away from home - maybe it’s the $700 sheets they use (I had to look them up they were so crisp and comfortable!). The level of customer service was impeccable and an absolute treat from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left. I truly cannot wait to go back.
The hotel’s white marble interiors create an atmosphere of pure elegance. The service is impeccable, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. With nightly rates ranging between $500 to $700, this hotel is definitely a splurge—but one that is absolutely worth it.
The fitness center is state of the art, spacious and never overcrowded. I love to be active when I travel so I look for hotels with pretty good gyms. The spa has a sauna and steam room that you can use. Love that. The hotel restaurant has a fantastic breakfast. The rooms are huge and I loved the spa tub.
I brought this to management’s attention, and while they offered me a replacement massage, I’m only in town for a few days, so this wasn’t a feasible solution. They then offered a 30% discount, which, while appreciated, didn’t feel like adequate compensation for such a disappointing experience.
I expected much more from a spa of this caliber. I hope they take steps to ensure this doesn’t happen to other guests.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The meeting space was great and the food was en pointe.
The entire team at Waldorf Astoria Buckhead is exceptional but a few standouts include on the Banquets team: Chef- who scrambled to make extra food for us, Ernest, Sophia, Keith, and Elena. On the sales team, Miriam and Savannah and the gracious manager, Carlos. All were fantastic to work with.
Don't hesitate to book your next stay or plan your next event in Atlanta at this hotel, you won't be disappointed!

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta is a luxurious haven where modern elegance meets Southern charm. Nestled in the heart of Atlanta, this hotel offers easy access to world-class art, shopping, and green spaces. Begin your day with a delightful breakfast on the atrium bridge before exploring the city’s vibrant energy. Return to the hotel for a rejuvenating spa treatment or unwind with gourmet dining and handcrafted cocktails at Bar Margot. Experience the epitome of Southern hospitality in a stylish and sophisticated setting.
My family and I stayed at the Four Seasons Atlanta from July 3rd to July 6th, 2025, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet the expectations of a hotel that markets itself as five-star.
While the check-in process was smooth and the staff offered upgrade options due to it being a slower season, I declined because the upgrade did not seem worth nearly three times the price for only slightly more space. That was the last positive part of our stay.
The most troubling part of our visit happened on July 4th at the hotel's restaurant, Margo (I believe that’s the name). We had a reservation for 10:00 a.m. and arrived at 10:06. The restaurant was practically empty. A white gentleman at the host stand told us there would be a 15-minute wait. We agreed and waited in the outside area, but I was confused as to why we had to wait at all when we had a reservation and the place was not busy. I returned to the host stand, where a different employee—a Black gentleman—was now present. I explained the situation again, and he seated us immediately without issue.
The stark contrast in how the two employees treated us was upsetting and frankly, felt racially biased. The first gentleman’s demeanor was cold and dismissive, and his tone came off as blatantly discriminatory.
The issues didn’t stop there. After our meal, I paid and signed the check at the table—standard practice in most restaurants. As we were leaving, the same white host approached us and demanded I sign the check, implying that I hadn't paid. His condescending tone made it seem as if I was trying to walk out on the bill, which was offensive and humiliating.
I reported the incident to the front desk, who apologized and said they would waive the breakfast charge—not something I asked for or expected. Later that day, the General Manager, Matthew, called to follow up. While he expressed mild concern and said he’d speak to the employee, the overall tone did not feel especially sincere.
The hotel later sent an apologetic tray with candies, popcorn, and a lackluster meat and cheese plate. The gesture felt superficial and failed to address the seriousness of the issue.
To make matters worse, at checkout I noticed they had charged me for the room upgrade I had specifically declined at check-in. This added a significant, unnecessary amount to my bill—nearly three times the original room rate. Thankfully, I caught the error and brought it to their attention, and they did correct it. But had I not reviewed my bill carefully, I would have been overcharged for something I never agreed to.
This experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable for any hotel—let alone one that claims to offer five-star service. In this day and age, it’s disheartening to still encounter such discriminatory behavior, especially in a place that should be known for hospitality and professionalism.
We will not be returning to the Four Seasons Atlanta, and I would advise others to think twice before booking here. A beautiful lobby can’t make up for poor treatment, questionable billing practices, and a lack of respect.
From the moment I reached out, Joseph from the reservations team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He made the booking process incredibly smooth and accommodating, and was so thoughtful in helping arrange for a few chilled goodies to be waiting in the room upon the happy couple’s arrival. It was such a special touch that made their first moments at the hotel even more memorable.
Asia was also a pleasure to work with—warm, responsive, and attentive to every detail. She made sure that everything went according to plan, which gave me such peace of mind knowing my sister and her husband were in great hands.
Thank you to the entire team at the Four Seasons Atlanta for making this gifted stay one to remember. Your hospitality, care, and professionalism truly shine. Five stars all around!
Didn’t have chance to use pool but looked gorgeous
Amazing staff and great service
Ate at their restaurant and went to bar for after dinner drinks. All top notch !
Highly recommend!
People like them make a huge difference. Thank you doe making me feel welcomed. I'm grateful. You guys are amazing. Thank you.
I truly recommend, you won't be disappointed.
The bedding was absolutely phenomenal, offering one of the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had. However, the highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the dining at Brasserie Margot. From appetizers to desserts, everything was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The pastries, in particular, were extraordinary—truly unforgettable. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, this restaurant is worth visiting on its own. A truly memorable culinary experience!

The St. Regis Atlanta is a luxurious haven near Georgia Institute of Technology, offering unparalleled elegance and impeccable service. Unwind by the poolside bar, indulge in pampering spa treatments, or savor exquisite British cuisine at Astor Court. Experience the epitome of luxury in spacious rooms adorned with plush bedding and marble bathrooms. With a prime location, world-class amenities, and attentive staff, The St. Regis Atlanta promises an unforgettable stay.
The St. Regis Atlanta isn’t just close to Georgia Tech; it’s strategically positioned in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhood. This means you’re not only near the campus but also surrounded by world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
We were especially moved by the warm and caring send-off from Stan. He takes pride in his job and does it with panache.
St Regis is probably the most expensive hotel in Atlanta but the quality of cleanliness in the room and bathroom (zero mildew, zero dust), mattress quality and comfort, the details- highly recommend.
Room service is done through a tablet, tad slow, but it was very easy to order. And to add- it was the best room service food. Food quality and plating was equivalent to a fine dine restaurant.
It was a great experience. Very relaxing, not crowded.
When we arrived, everyone was very polite and Gia ended up being our server and she was amazing! Gia’s presentation, tea knowledge and love for what she does made the experience even more memorable.
I love the variety and quality of teas they offered. The food is freshly made and tastes great. The ambiance was also perfect, welcoming and very elegant. I have been to several $80+ teas in Atlanta and this is the only one (so far) I feel was worth the price tag. Before leaving, I made reservations to go back.
A special thank you to Jia for her outstanding service while assisting our large party during breakfast. She provided excellent recommendations and ensured a seamless dining experience. Additionally, Josh’s warm hospitality and prompt service were greatly appreciated. Their professionalism and attention to detail truly enhanced our visit.
I highly recommend The St. Regis Atlanta and look forward to returning.
They send delivery drivers into the garbage loading dock. Upon entering the building, I asked quite a few people where I needed to go and no one spoke English. Then this large guy came so close to me as I backed up. You can just leave the packages there! Well, Clarence, I like my personal space as a female and I don't need you that close that I can smell you! Dangerous location to deliver at after 3:30. p.m.

Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park is a vibrant urban retreat perfectly situated near State Farm Arena and Centennial Olympic Park. This dynamic hotel offers a range of amenities including a sparkling outdoor pool, on-site dining options, and convenient shopping. Guests rave about the friendly staff and prime location. Unwind in spacious rooms equipped with modern comforts while immersing yourself in the heart of Atlanta’s excitement.
The room was nice and clean, with a decent view. The water gets really hot, which I personally loved! One small note: we were able to go down the stairs, but not up.
Ron in valet was also incredible. He helped me with my bags and was so attentive, he knew exactly which bags to place in the front without me even saying a word. His attitude was outstanding and really stood out.
Overall, I would return, as it was a pleasant stay.
The room itself was extremely spacious, as well as the bathroom. The bed, super comfy, and all of the amenities included were great too. I would, without a doubt, stay here again!
Until next time,
The Britton family
The rooms are also clean and pretty up to date. We also stopped to get a coffee at the cafe and it was pretty good!
We get a balcony room.
Pretty basic.
The room smelled like they needed to clean their vacuum cleaners.
The front desk was cool.
The valet was very cool. Nice group of gentlemen.
The main takeaway was the fact we were able to walk from the Omni straight to the gates and less than 5 minutes to the floor of State Farm Arena.
Needless to say, leaving the game was just as easy. No fuss. No foot traffic. Straight back to the Omni lobby.
Wish there was good high end shopping closer, could use better elevator situation in south tower, and they should have staffed up as trying to get food and drink was difficult at times on a busy weekend.
The dining options were good. You are a little isolated on that side of Atlanta and with a limited conference schedule it would be nice to have some more varied options. The food was not bad, but for such a high end hotel, I would’ve hoped for a bit more.
The interior was equally impressive, blending historical aesthetics with cozy and well-maintained facilities. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay.
The location was another highlight, making it convenient to visit nearby attractions. Whether you’re a history lover or just someone who appreciates a hotel with character, this place is definitely worth trying. Overall, a wonderful blend of history, comfort, and excellent service—I would highly recommend it!

Hyatt Regency Atlanta Downtown offers a convenient and comfortable stay with modern amenities. Enjoy dining options on-site, stay fit at the 24-hour gym, or unwind in the lounge. The aparthotel-style accommodations provide a home-away-from-home feel with kitchenettes and in-room comforts. Ideal for both business and leisure travelers, this hotel offers a central location and a range of services for a pleasant stay.
The bed was super comfortable, and the room had everything I needed. Staff was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, close to restaurants and attractions.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable stay with beautiful views in Atlanta.
One of the biggest issues was the lack of elevators. The hotel simply does not have enough to accommodate the number of guests. I was on the 19th floor and spent what felt like hours waiting for an elevator. In hindsight, I wish I had requested a room on a lower floor so I could have just used the stairs.
At the hotel restaurant, I asked the waiter if the orange juice was fresh-squeezed. He assured me it was and even shared an elaborate story about sourcing from local farms. Unfortunately, the juice was not fresh-squeezed at all, and I had to send it back. His enthusiastic lying was truly disappointing.
The Polaris restaurant is only accessible if you book well in advance, and one of the building’s elevators is dedicated to taking guests up there. That means even fewer elevators are available for everyone else.
Also worth noting: valet parking is the only option, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
The suite itself was spacious, immaculate, and offered every comfort imaginable—from premium amenities to breathtaking views. Daily breakfast was complimentary and featured a wide array of fresh, high-quality options. Late checkout was effortlessly arranged, allowing me to relax without feeling rushed.
The Globalist recognition here was more than just perks—it was a complete experience of hospitality, care, and comfort. I can’t wait to return.
We had a fantastic multi-day stay at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta during the Final Four weekend, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The hotel is massive, with a stunning design and plenty of space to accommodate large events and crowds. We stayed in what I believe is called the International Tower, slightly tucked away from the main atrium. It was quiet, comfortable, and gave us easy access to all the amenities the hotel had to offer.
The optics of the hotel are absolutely beautiful—from the dramatic elevators to the soaring atrium and modern finishes, there’s no shortage of great photo-worthy spots throughout the property. The vibe was lively, and you could really feel the energy in the air, especially during such a big sports weekend.
We really enjoyed the on-site dining options. The bar was our go-to—seriously, we stopped by three times just for wings and drinks, and every time it hit the spot. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and it became one of the highlights of our stay. We also tried room service for breakfast, and it was surprisingly tasty and prompt. It was such a nice touch to enjoy a hot meal in the room before heading out for our day.
The Marketplace downstairs was also super convenient. Whether we needed snacks, drinks, or last-minute essentials, it came in clutch multiple times. We also had dinner one evening at the sit-down restaurant on site (I can't recall the name), and the atmosphere was relaxed, the food was solid, and the service was excellent.
One of the most unforgettable parts of the weekend was seeing the University of Michigan team staying at the hotel. We had the amazing opportunity to watch the band play in the atrium and cheer on the team as they ran out to their buses on the way to the Final Four game. It was such a fun and unique experience—something we’ll remember forever! We even got a few pictures and videos, which made the trip extra special.
While I personally had no negative experiences during the stay, I do want to mention that one of my friends in another room had a bit of a challenge with housekeeping. However, it didn’t affect the overall trip, and I can honestly say my experience was nothing short of excellent.
From the location, service, and amenities to the unforgettable Final Four energy, this hotel really delivered. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Atlanta—whether for a big event, business, or a weekend getaway.
Thursday morning – I went for my very early coffee at 4:15 AM, just like I did the past two days. To my surprise, the hotel cafe is closed! Then I found the baristas arriving 5:10 AM. I gave them 15mins to set up… then I went to order my coffee. The barista told me they open at 6 AM—yet yesterday, they were open before 4 AM!
What really caught me off guard is that she could have served me a coffee… but chose to stick to the rule instead. No flexibility, no kindness, just a hard “no” before the official opening time.
Service just lost a star.
—————————————-
It is a very nice hotel. A bit old. Furniture in the lobby and other areas are worn out. But rooms are good.
My stay is for business trip.
I find it very difficult to sit and work comfortably in any place. No desks, no comfortable chairs… some outlets are not working.
It is a good hotel, but needs attention!
Also, my room is on a lower floor, there is noise I believe from the ventilation. And the view is not pleasant at all.
I will say that staff WAS friendly and helpful, even though management has failed to implement systems that would help staff do their jobs more efficiently.
Also, our server in the bar area, Rebecca, was phenomenally amazing!
Customer service was top-notch, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and pleasant visit. The commitment to cleanliness was evident throughout the hotel, from the pristine rooms to the well-maintained common areas. If you’re looking for a luxurious stay in Atlanta with excellent hospitality and a one-of-a-kind dining experience, this hotel is a perfect choice. Highly recommend!
By the way, be very careful not to lose any items in your room, as you may never get them back. I lost my soft plush sea turtle toy on my bed, yet the lost and found services team informed me that no housekeeper had reported or returned such an item. I fully acknowledge that losing a personal item is my own responsibility due to negligence. However, considering that the toy is not small and was left on the bed, it is hard to believe it could have been mistaken for something to be discarded rather than returned to lost and found. Lost items are rare occurrences, while this experience has made me question the level of responsibility and care taken by the hotel staff.
We stayed at a fantastic hotel during our visit to the Atlanta Market, and it was the perfect spot! The location was super convenient—just a short walk to the market buildings. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we were greeted with a refreshing sangria upon arrival. They also offer valet services, which is always a plus.
The hotel’s layout is really cool; it doesn’t have those long, dark hallways. Instead, it's open-air, with a large lobby you can look down into from the balconies, and you can watch the pod-lit elevators move up and down. We tried to get into the Polaris restaurant, but it’s a popular spot, so definitely make a reservation ahead of time!
Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was delicious—fresh avocado, eggs, bacon, a little side salad, and great coffee. The staff was so friendly and made us feel right at home.
Our room was really comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from, and the beds had motion-sensor night lights, which was a nice touch if you’re up in the middle of the night. The bathroom had a backlit mirror, which made getting ready easy, and it even had a soft glow when the lights were off, making it easy to find your way. Plus, the room had plenty of charging ports and lamps, and the balcony had a beautiful view of the city.
Overall, this hotel offered great service, an amazing atmosphere, and lots of thoughtful details that made our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend it if you're visiting the Atlanta Market or just in town!

This smoke-free aparthotel offers a home-away-from-home experience with fully equipped kitchens and spacious living areas. Enjoy on-site dining, a workout at the 24-hour fitness center, or relax by the barbecue grills. Concierge services and laundry facilities add convenience to your stay. Ideal for longer stays or groups, this property provides a comfortable and independent base to explore the city.
However, when we entered the suite, it smelled strongly of pot and cigarettes. This was especially disappointing because my husband and daughter both have asthma. We tried airing out the space for a full 24 hours, but during that time, the power also went out. When I contacted Sonder and asked to be moved, they offered to transfer us to a lower-level suite and then move us again the next day—something we didn’t want to deal with on a short stay.
We stayed in the original unit and continued airing it out. While the smell improved slightly, by nightfall the smoke returned, likely coming from surrounding units. Unfortunately, the smell of pot and cigarettes seemed to be present throughout the building, despite the staff’s efforts to keep things clean and fresh. The property is maintained nicely, but the lack of staff or attendants after hours seems to make it easy for some guests to disregard no-smoking rules.
It’s a decent option for some, but I wouldn’t recommend this location for families—especially those with sensitivities to smoke or who prefer a more conservative, smoke-free environment.
1 is that I wish parking was cheaper and/or discounted for frequent customers or long term stays. It runs into a large bill that eats away at the benefits of staying there (vs a more centrally located hotel).
2. Last time I stayed here I had a major problem getting my room assignment and had to upload my id which still wasn’t enough. I was in my rental car outside the Sonder for over an hour at 10 or 11 pm trying to work with support to get access. At the time I swore to never stay again but I did anyway because I had existing reservations. I’ll be back but that was a big miss and was the first time I ever questioned my decision to stay with Sonder.
Ok. Third and 4th issues. People upstairs walk with a heavy gait. Can be very annoying. This stay the dishwasher didn’t work and beeped every 1-2 minutes for the whole 12 day stay.
Even so I will be back because the mix of space and price works for my needs.
We arrived early and our code to the front door wasn’t working. I phoned the number listed and was given a new one, and I was able to get in within a few minutes. We were able to store our luggage in the storage lockers when we arrived and sit in the lounge until our room was ready at the check in time which was very nice.
I was very happy with the room, it was exactly as pictured online. A highlight was how new the mattress seemed. It was nice a firm and the sofa-couch mattress was comfortable as well. They also had cups, bowls, plates and cutlery which was very nice for when we bought food to eat at the room.
The only thing I noticed that wasn’t perfect, was some of the white walls behind the doors had some marks. (Just looked like they could use a wipe.) But overall an amazing place to stay! I will definitely be booking with Sonder again and recommending it to others.

First and foremost, Crystal deserves special recognition. She was nothing short of amazing — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Crystal took the time to understand our needs and made every effort to accommodate us with a smile, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Her professionalism combined with her kindness made us feel truly valued as guests. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines such efficiency with heartfelt hospitality, and Crystal definitely set the tone for an outstanding experience.
Beyond Crystal, the entire team deserves praise. The housekeeping staff kept our room impeccably clean and welcoming — every detail was taken care of, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully maintained throughout our stay.
The front desk team was equally fantastic, providing prompt, friendly service with a positive attitude every time we interacted with them. Their helpfulness and professionalism made check-in and check-out a breeze.
Overall, the staff’s dedication and teamwork shone through in every interaction, creating an atmosphere of warmth and genuine care. From the moment we walked in to our departure, we felt nothing but appreciation for the Canopy Hilton team. They didn’t just meet our expectations — they surpassed them in every way.
Thank you, Crystal, and everyone at Canopy Hilton Atlanta Midtown, for making our stay unforgettable. We will absolutely be back and recommend this hotel to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but a place where hospitality truly means something.
Unfortunately, there is no free coffee downstairs while the Nespresso in the room only has decaf. Speaking of coffee, $10 for a beer or coffee is ridiculous. Food at the restaurant was otherwise OK besides being overpriced. The hours were also not really conducive to an early breakfast nor a normal happy hour.
The area is nice, but also a little sterile. Good for a quick business trip or night out on the town.
I would probably rate it lower if I had paid to park... those prices were worse than the drinks.
The hotel itself is spotless. Every corner feels fresh and clean, from the lobby to the rooms. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place well maintained and comfortable for their guests. My room was immaculate, with modern touches that made it feel both cozy and upscale.
Whether I needed recommendations for local spots or just had a quick question, the team here made me feel right at home. It’s rare to find such consistent service paired with such a beautiful, clean space. Highly recommend staying here if you want a comfortable, welcoming experience!
I told the front desk and they did nothing about it.
I tried to call Hilton and sat on hold.
Hung up and messaged Hilton (see screenshot). They messaged back with some automated reply about “a bug in my room”.
I’m sure the needle in the robe was probably a freak accident - somehow it got stuck when the robe was washed / nobody checked the pockets - accidents happen, I get it.
But, it’s a weird feeling to have something like that happen and then not have anyone say sorry, or even acknowledge it.
Because that part isn’t hard. That’s just being a normal human.
It’s not hard to understand why a guest at your hotel would feel uncomfortable finding a hypodermic needle in their room, much less a robe pocket.
This is actually a really beautiful hotel, it seems like it’s managed by somebody who doesn’t get hospitality.
There are several other things that happened to me while I was staying here that I don’t have the energy to type out. If you manage this hotel and care to hear any of this message me.
I was waiting for a ride share when I saw Foxy check in. She welcomed them, asked them if they wanted water and smiled the entire time. I realized that the girl that checked me in, did none of that. When Foxy was done with that guest I approached her and let her know that I did not get any water when I checked in. She quickly apologized and offered me water. I was headed out, so I asked if I could get it when I came back. Later that night, she remembered me and before I could even ask, she greeted me with a smile and said “welcome back! let me get you that water”. I also noticed her interactions with other hotel guests while I was waiting on ride shares. She was always pleasant and even addressed people by their names. The guests always perked up with happiness when speaking with her.
If you get the option for the breakfast included, it is not completely free because you can’t get your own drinks. Someone brings those to you, and then gives you a check at the end with a tip option. Also, the breakfast foods are not good. I wanted to have the oatmeal, but it was literally just oats sitting in water. The toaster was so old that I waited for what seemed like an eternity and decided to just stop it cuz it was too long. My English muffin wasn’t even toasted after minutes in the toaster. It was just warmed up.
It's not awful, but for the price I expect more.
First, the bathroom light switch was faulty—it wouldn’t turn off, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed at night to prevent the light from disturbing us. Maintenance replaced the switch the next day while we were out.
Second, the room safe wasn’t working and required a staff member to come and fix it. Additionally, the room includes a cooler, not a proper refrigerator. Just a heads-up: the cooler is essentially useless, as even ice melts quickly.
Another major frustration was the thermostat. It’s motion-activated, so during the day, when the room is empty, the AC barely runs, leaving the room warm. At night, it shuts off due to a lack of motion, which made for very uncomfortable nights. Maintenance confirmed this is by design and could not make adjustments. This is one of the worst features I’ve encountered in a hotel room.
Lastly, valet service was inconsistent. On two occasions, the overnight staff was less than welcoming, which is disappointing when paying $50 a night for parking at a Hilton property. However, I’d like to commend Danny from the day shift—he was delightful and very understanding.
While there were some positive aspects, these issues made our stay less enjoyable than expected. If you’re considering booking here, be aware of these potential inconveniences.

Twelve Downtown, Autograph Collection is an upscale boutique hotel offering a sophisticated retreat near World of Coca-Cola. Immerse yourself in luxury with spacious rooms featuring separate living areas and private balconies. Indulge in culinary delights at Catch 12, the on-site restaurant, or unwind by the seasonal pool. Discover the city’s vibrant energy while enjoying the personalized service and refined ambiance of this exceptional hotel.
The valet attendants are very kind, however they really need more of them. No matter what time I'm coming or going, there's always a wait and usually nobody present. I had a nearly 20 minute wait on a stay a few weeks ago at 9am in the morning, which is crazy. I've had to drop my keys at the front desk after no valet appeared for 5 minutes when trying to drop my car off. For $45/day I don't expect that to be the norm.
Speaking of the pool — it’s beautiful, clean, and a perfect spot to relax. The gym is also impressive, well-equipped, and spacious. I haven’t had the chance to dine at the hotel restaurant yet, but it’s always buzzing with guests, so I imagine it’s worth trying.
Overall, a great experience both times. I’ll definitely be back!
The pros: amazing front desk service. Always smiling and always helpful. They will greet you as you come in and as you leave making you feel at home. If you bring something to their attention, they will correct it.
Valet parking is $40 per day but honestly that is a decent price compared to other nearby hotels. They took care of our car very well and we never had to wait long.
Swimming pool was large with plenty of lounge chairs. But they did run out of towels around 4pm on a Saturday.
The con: Just lack of attention by the cleaning staff. When we checked in, our floor was not properly vacuumed as there were some chips bits on the floor still. Second day, our dirty bath towels were not replaced with new ones. They also did not give us any hand soap. The room phone did not work unfortunately. I’m sure had we reported earlier to front desk, they would have taken care of it. But at the same time, replacing new towels and giving guests soap should be in the basic turnover procedure of cleaning staff and not be something guests need to tell front desk to get rectified.
All in all this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise wonderful experience!
Other than this, the room was really nice. Clean modern decor, comfortable bed, good amenities, convenient location, and helpful staff.
Management added family to reservation. / then refused to check them in / then deleted the messages where they said it was ok. Very rude and then covered their tracks and lied to Marriott corporate to avoid accountability.
Buyer beware.
Property is incredibly poorly managed and staffed.

Enjoy a refreshing dip in the seasonal pool, savor delectable cuisine at the on-site restaurants, or stay active in the 24-hour fitness center. The hotel’s modern rooms, combined with exceptional service, create a memorable stay in the heart of Atlanta.
Valet was another downside—at $60 a night, it felt overpriced. To be fair, the young valet attendant did a great job handling a tough situation when two staff members called out. Instead of leaving us waiting a long time, he allowed us to bring our cars down and back up ourselves, which I really appreciated. His problem-solving and quick thinking were a highlight of my stay.
Overall, the hotel itself is nice, but between the late-night noise and the expensive valet, I’ll likely try a different downtown option next time
That said, I have to give credit where it’s due — the late-night concierge went above and beyond with great customer service during the chaos, and the hotel bar and restaurant are absolutely top notch. The food is genuinely excellent, and the service there felt like a five-star dining experience.
Overall, the restaurant team delivers luxury, but the hotel operations (especially deposits and AC) seriously need improvement.
With that being said, as not only a Hilton member but just for the amount I spent per night for a downtown Atlanta hotel, I was shockingly disappointed.
From missing bathroom products, broken room fridge, multiple mystery carpet stains, hallway smells, and bugs in the pool. 😳 I expected more, however with the convenience of being close to the hospital for my grandma’s surgery, it did the job. Definitely left my family surprised compared to previous Hilton stays however the staff alone made it an enjoyable stay.
Original review:
Booked a room months ago. Checked in on the app the day before. Went to the front desk when the app wouldn't open the lock to our assigned room. Was told my card was declined (even though I had a confirmation number), and that they gave away our room and had no rooms left. Not great for Saturday at 9:30pm. Was not given any notice about the card declining or the room being given away until we got to the front desk. Could have very easily provided an updated card if they just had called.
The only people who were helpful there were the valets. I'm a Hilton Honor's Member, and I'm prob going to use my points and then try another hotel brand. Avoid.
I stayed at The American Hotel Atlanta on Wednesday, April 23rd around 5:00 p.m., and what should’ve been a relaxing check-in turned into a stressful and frustrating experience due to the parking situation—and the hotel’s response to it has only made things worse.
Upon arrival, I found four parking spaces on the side of the hotel. Two were coned off, and the remaining two were completely open with no signage, no meter, and no QR code—nothing that would suggest payment or restriction. Assuming they were city-maintained public spaces, I parked in one of them.
At check-in, the front desk staff was professional and polite. When I asked about the parking, I was told the hotel had recently returned some of the spaces to the city, and I was advised to check with valet. I did exactly that. The valet team, instead of simply offering clarification, became aggressive and confrontational, warning me in a hostile tone that I was risking my car being booted or damaged. It felt more like a threat than assistance. It was also clear they were irritated that I had parked there—they seemed determined to push me toward valet parking instead.
As a guest simply trying to check in and enjoy my stay, this was unacceptable and unsettling. I spent the night anxiously checking on my car, unable to fully relax or enjoy my time, worried it might be booted or vandalized. Fortunately, the front desk stepped in, de-escalated the situation, and later called to apologize. I was informed that the city had not yet installed meters and that, due to the confusion, I would be credited for parking—which I appreciated.
However, after leaving my honest review, I received a public response from the hotel stating:
> “There is a sign at the very beginning where the parking starts that states no parking as well as the information for those who decide to park there and as a result they can be booted or towed.”
Let me be absolutely clear—this is false.
I took photos of the sign, and it does not say "no parking" anywhere. It is an orange sign that simply provides contact information in case your car is booted or towed—it does not restrict parking, nor does it explain that these are private hotel spaces. It offers no legal justification for booting or threatening guests, and to claim otherwise in a response is deeply misleading.
This feels like a clear case of hotel staff trying to control public city street parking for their own valet service, without properly leasing, marking, or maintaining the spaces. Rather than admit the signage is unclear and the response from staff was aggressive, the hotel chose to gaslight me publicly. That is deeply disappointing and not reflective of the Hilton brand I’ve respected for years.
To be treated this way—then have the hotel issue a misleading statement in return—is insulting. As a result, I will be filing a formal complaint with the City of Atlanta, including the photos I took. I will be writing to the department that handles public parking and enforcement to request an official review of the hotel’s use of those four spaces and the legality of their actions.
This situation is not just about one guest’s experience—it’s about honesty, guest safety, and accountability. Atlanta is a great city. This hotel’s actions are a poor representation of both the city and the Hilton name.
It is well located in the heart downtown, surrounded by restaurants and things to do like the Centennial Park, the Coca Cola Factory and more. Parking is hard to find and I wish the reception staff could have been a bit more helpful in noting where one could park - otherwise you'll have to pay $90 a day for valet. Speaking of which, it was the valet who knew exactly where we could go.
There is a nice restaurant and bar downstairs and if you are a Hilton member, your benefits go far here. The staff was very helpful in getting bags up to the room and making recommendations for other things down town.
The room ran a bit chilly, but is otherwise just fine. Nice view of the downtown and cool aesthetics in the interior.
A great option for a spot in down town Atlanta that won't leave your wallet hurting.
Quite a few places we wanted to visit were in walking distance from the hotel which was useful as well. The only thing I would knock a star off was that at least for our floor there seemed to be some boiler issues that during our stay so sometimes we had cold water issues for some of us showering early in the morning but those things can happen. There was also a low buzz that persisted the whole stay after we asked if we could turn on the A/C but honestly that didn't bother us too bad. If we had an issue staff was very quick to respond. If we happen to come down this area again, we definitely would not mind staying here again.

Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel offers a convenient and relaxing stay near the airport, complete with a free shuttle service. Enjoy delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, unwind in the garden, or stay active in the fitness center. Many rooms offer balconies, providing a peaceful retreat after your flight. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability and modern amenities ensures a comfortable and eco-friendly experience.
There are also plenty of great attractions close by such as the Delta Flight Museum (and I would highly recommend it). The food was also very good and the lobby bar was a fantastic atmosphere with a great vibe.
Definitely would recommend this hotel!
There is no better place to stay if you want to geek out on the airfield activity.
There are better places to stay if you are looking to be closer to the terminals (look at the gateway) or closer to better food options. The area around the hotel looks rough but had good experiences at local eateries.
Desk service and banquet service were excellent. Daytime restaurant service was not. My bartender was rude and aloof. I ordered an old fashioned and it was missing the simple syrup. She clearly did not be there. It took 30 minutes to receive a side of fries that were ice cold and chewy.
The lounge was only open for minimal hours, and when they weren't actively serving breakfast or apps, they only had a half stocked fridge with water and a few bags of plain potato chips.
There are plenty of other Marriott properties in the area that I prefer to this one, such as the other Renaissance, which is 5 minutes down the road and easily accessible via skytrain.
The breakfast was absolutely awesome. I have status with Marriott that includes breakfast and was concerned when the breakfast coupon said Continental breakfast. But it was a full breakfast with made to order eggs, smoked Salmon, berries, etc. This was a weekend so I'm not sure if you have a restaurant option when the lounge is open.
The breakfast staff were absolutely fantastic. The best breakfast staff I've experienced in my travels.
The front desk ladies were a delight and helpful.
The only concern is Lounge is always closed every time we stay here, last time renovated, and today closed until next year for a holiday.

With spacious rooms, modern amenities, and a prime location, this hotel is perfect for both business and leisure travelers.
The location was great.
The room was nice and clean, I used a disinfectant wipe to make sure.
Staff nice and friendly.
Cons: I did not like the $25 parking, but hey it’s ATL, I expected to pay something.
The bathroom door needs to be changed out, there’s water damage at the bottom to where you can see it splitting. So the door has months worth of damage.
The pool area needs to be updated. Scrub the inside pool and the deck area. Make the pool warmer.
Limited upfront parking space.
No trash bags were in the room, used grocery bags.
She is the reason I’d come back- and I’d ask for a room she is responsible for.
Thanks again for a great trip!
King Size bed was comfy. Nice long pillows. Clean bathrooms and nice shower! Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Spacious room.
Food at event was good.
The Oak place was nice for “late” night dining. I had the hummus platter. Not a fan of the hummus though. Too runny. Veggies were fresh and pita decent. Fries were perfect. Salad was good. Service was good.
We missed breakfast the Monday we were to check out. But heard it was good.

Unwind in stylish rooms featuring modern amenities and impeccable service. This hotel is the perfect base for exploring Atlanta’s cultural offerings while enjoying the epitome of luxury.
The front desk staff was welcoming and professional from the moment we arrived. We had booked two rooms and, despite the short notice, they were able to accommodate our request for connecting rooms, which we really appreciated.
The bar and restaurant on the 10th floor had a great atmosphere, and the food was delicious. The complimentary shuttle service was a huge plus, and a special shoutout to Randy—he was fantastic!
Although we were disappointed to miss our connecting flight, our unexpected stay in Atlanta turned out to be a highlight thanks to the exceptional service and hospitality at this hotel. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
The hotel is modern, sexy and has a good vibe. The only negative is that the front desk couldn’t break a bill for me to tip people instead I was directed to the restaurant or valet! This actually is a huge deal. I should immediately be able to get change to tip the staff with $$$ seriously? They need to have access to cash! We still use US currency this is the United States! Why make it difficult to tip your staff! I’m going to contact corporate also because it’s a big deal!
The rooftop bar got overwhelmed fast in the late evening but the staff made sure to acknowledge your existence vs. ignore it. I wish you all a pleasant stay, like I did 🛌
I was only confused for a little bit the moment I arrived at the area since I did not know if there is a “customer parking area” that I can use but end up using the valet service instead. Luckily, I was able to use it as part of my “credit” and it end up being a wonderful experience.
The amenities were top-notch — the rooftop bar is a must-see, offering incredible cocktails and a lively atmosphere. The location is perfect too, with plenty of dining and shopping options within walking distance. One of the highlights was the hotel's house car service, which was perfect for getting us to and from the shops and dinner. It made everything so convenient and stress-free!
The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, and I truly felt pampered the entire time. If you're looking for a luxurious stay with exceptional service in the heart of Buckhead, the Thompson Hotel is the place to be! Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. What stood out the most was the gym—it’s incredibly well-equipped, especially for a hotel gym. If fitness is a priority for you, you won’t be disappointed. It does get quite busy between 6-8 AM on weekdays, but outside of peak hours, it’s a fantastic space to work out. Overall, a great experience!

Overall the feeling of serenity greets you when you’re there. It’s a hidden oasis tucked away from the hustle of the area.
Pros - The hotel is clean and the staff is very nice. Food is pretty good.
The room was clean and very comfortable. The toilet made noises after flushing, no microwave, and a warm mini fridge.
I very much liked the thermostat capabilities in the room, very modern and allowed for warming up and cooling down in great timing. It was decent once again, but obviously not something I would book again nor write home to mom about.
Side note: if you aren’t using it for Emory purposes, I would book something else as it is a bit far from Atlanta’s main attractions.
We asked when they would build the fire as I was dizzy from my oral surgery and in pain and it was relaxing to warm by the fire. He said how about right now and he built me one immediately. All the staff seem happy and everyone I dealt with was cheerful and smiling.
I loved the feature of scanning the QR code on room key to display the rest menus on your phone. All meals can be delivered right to your door. I loved this hotel. If I could add one criticism is that I wished they had some wheelchairs around you could access. The walk to the rooms was a bit much when I just had surgery. Overall I just hope I can come back and stay here on a pleasure trip and not because of health reasons.
