I’ll start with some of the highlights which I enjoyed. The free shuttle to downtown was perfect. The bus was clean and seemed new and the driver Jeffery was very nice! The pool area was beautiful, very clean, free towels and cold water, and overall felt like a tropical oasis. Lastly, the resort was overall very modern and had a beach vibe and I felt completely safe walking around regardless the time of day.
Now some issues/inconveniences I ran into during my stay. First was the construction which is only a temporary thing, the hotel recently came under new ownership. Secondly was the musty smell/location of my room. I booked a partial ocean view balcony room and was told it is first floor when I checked in, nothing online mentioned this, I thought it would be a corner room or something but it’s first floor so the balcony is looking eye level into the pool area, not a huge deal but didn’t use my balcony due to this. The room also had a musty smell to it, however it was a very clean with a nice aesthetic. Lastly I was disappointed to find out that happy hour was unavailable at the pool area and can only be taken advantage of by sitting at the bar or bar area (inside or outside).
Overall if you’re looking for a nice resort away from the busy downtown and plan to enjoy some relaxing time in or out of the pool, I would book here!
Overall, I had a good stay and would definitely consider coming back. The property is beautiful with multiple pools, a marina, and an hourly shuttle into Key West, which was incredibly convenient. The resort is currently undergoing renovations, and two of the six pools/buildings were closed during my stay. I completely understand renovations are necessary, but I do wish that had been communicated before arrival instead of being a surprise at check-in.
The front desk staff were okay—not the warmest experience I’ve had, especially at this price point. But I recognize they’re likely dealing with the challenges of a major brand transition, so I tried to keep that in perspective.
A huge shoutout to Jeffrey, one of the shuttle drivers. He was genuinely kind, welcoming, and the type of employee who leaves a lasting impression. Great customer service like his is becoming harder to find these days.
My only other suggestion would be to skip the Yellowfin Restaurant and explore the local restaurants instead. I ate there four times during my stay, and while it was convenient, the service was consistently slow and two of my meals were served cold.
Overall, it’s a very nice resort with a lot of potential. Once the renovations are complete and customer service becomes a little more polished, I think this will be an even better place to stay

Hyatt Centric Key West sits directly on the Old Town waterfront, putting you within walking distance of Duval Street while still offering oceanfront rooms with private, furnished balconies looking out over the Gulf. It’s a solid middle ground for travelers who want both a reliable balcony view and easy access to Key West’s restaurants and nightlife.
Unfortunately, our room overlooked the dumpsters, which was disappointing. Aside from that, the room itself was comfortable, the pool bar was good, and while the pool was on the smaller side, it was still a nice place to relax. We also appreciated the $20 happy hour voucher provided for the hotel restaurant.
My only real complaint was that the hotel was power washing the pool walkway in the middle of the day. The noise was quite loud and made it difficult to enjoy the pool area during that time. Overall, though, we had a pleasant stay.
The sunsets are absolutely beautiful and one of our favorite parts of the stay. We’ve also done both the snorkeling trip and sunset cruise through Floridays on the property, and highly recommend both.
The property is well-maintained, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is always welcoming. Already looking forward to our next stay!

We stayed in the Junior Suite Spa Room, and it exceeded our expectations! The room was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing.
The staff was wonderful—everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
One of our favorite features was the café and the private beach. Having both right on the property was a huge plus and made everything so convenient.
I’m also very particular about hotel air conditioning because I love a cold room when I sleep. I’m happy to say the A/C worked perfectly—it kept our room nice and cold the entire stay, which made a big difference.
The walk to the pool is absolutely beautiful, with palm trees, a koi pond, and turtles along the way. It truly feels like you’ve discovered a hidden tropical oasis. Every part of the property is peaceful and relaxing.
We had an amazing experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!
The resort itself was very nice. I liked my room okay. It had a nice view of foliage and one of the walking paths. There are plenty of chairs near the pool and on the beach.

The Reach is one of the only Key West hotels with a genuine private sand beach, and its ocean-view suites pair that with balconies looking straight out over the water. It’s an Old Town location, so you get beachfront calm during the day and an easy walk into town at night, though the beach-and-balcony combination here commands the highest price tier on this list.
The room: The balconies have a lot of mildew around the patio doors. The room is a good size, the AC works well, and is clean. Except for the floor. It dosen't seem like it's been mopped in a while. Our room, 434, was unfortunately stuck in a corner which meant we had the smallest balcony even though we paid for an ocean view. Between, the tiny size and mildew, I wouldn't want to sit out there. Unfortunately, we wouldn't have been able to really enjoy it given the terrible stench from the sargassum, which plagued most of the island. The worst part of our room was the bathroom door being less than 4ft from the bed. Hearing your spouses bathroom activities isn't exactly good for romance.
Other Amenities: they really push people to use the Amenities at Casa Marina, which is close but not close enough, 90°+ heat and no shade make the walk miserable.
The beach: sandy white and would be an absolute joy if it weren't for the unprecedented sargassum. Don't come in June if you want to enjoy the beach.
Summary: It's overpriced and not high end.
The good: beautiful location in Old Town, private beach was wonderful. Room was good size, clean, with a nice view. Layout was very good. Walking distance to many interesting places. Do rent a golf cart to ride around the island.
The bad: Service was bad to terrible for our entire 6 day stay. I could give many examples, but will give just one. Bought a day bed for the day on the beach. Bed was not as pictured, got there after our appointed time and still there was no one there to set up the umbrellas, give us towels etc, and after i went and discussed with the front desk, the person they sent was visibly grumpy. Restaurant was 1.5x the cost of going out with the food and drinks just average. You will pay for the convenience. I advise going off resort to eat and drink, such good food awaits.
The ugly: For the 6 days, seemed like 90% of the staff were either unfriendly or visibly grumpy. When one pays for a "Curio Collection" experience one expects the staff to at least act like they want to be there and perhsps act friendly once in a while. I am a Hilton Gold member with 300,000+ points accumulated. I expect more from a Hilton.
